Transcript

Welcome to this 3 minute mantra meditation to soften,

Release and let go.

Come into a comfortable seated position,

Whether this is on a chair or a cushion,

And then close the eyes.

Take a moment to roll the shoulders up on an inhale,

And all the way back down on an exhale,

See if you can relax all the muscles in your face,

The muscles in the shoulders,

Any muscle that you don't need right now.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through the nose,

Really fully inhaling through the nose,

And exhaling through the mouth.

Really feeling the chest rise and open on the inhale,

And on the exhale if needed,

Also really forcefully allowing yourself to let the air out,

Letting it go,

Releasing.

Doing this a few times on your own tempo.

You can even make a sound with it,

Inhaling fully,

And exhaling releasing.

Now continue to do so for yourself.

Now on the inhale,

You say in your mind I soften,

And on the exhale you say I release.

Inhale to soften,

And exhale release,

Allowing the shoulders to drop down,

Allowing yourself to sit deeper into the cushion that you're sitting on,

Or deeper into the chair,

Allowing your weight to sink down.

Inhaling,

Softening soft air into the body,

And exhaling releasing.

Continuing to repeat these words in your mind by yourself while you're breathing.

Inhale softening,

And exhale releasing.

And then just gently rounding off this short practice,

Blinking the eyes open,

And see how you want to proceed with your day.

This fresh new air,

Softened and released.
