Welcome to day 18 of Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

Setting an intention is making a decision about who you want to be and how you choose to show up.

Over time,

Those choices become change.

Let's begin.

Hello,

And welcome to Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

My name is Matt Cook,

And today we're talking about confidence.

Not the loud,

Polished version we sometimes imagine,

But the steady inner trust that grows when we stop second-guessing ourselves.

Confidence isn't about having all the answers.

It's about backing your own judgment,

Your own experience,

And your own inner compass.

It's the quiet decision to move forward even when your mind tries to pour you into doubt.

When you choose to trust yourself,

You build strength with every step.

So the intention we're working with today is,

Today I'll back myself instead of doubting every move.

So now let's get started and really lean into this meditation together.

So,

Just make sure you're comfortable,

And when you're ready,

Take a slow breath in through your nose,

And just hold it.

And slowly exhale through your mouth,

Just letting your body soften.

And just one more,

Inhale through your nose,

And hold.

And an exhale through your mouth,

Just again,

Allowing your body to really settle now.

And just return back to your normal breathing,

Bringing your attention to the centre of your chest.

And just imagine a small,

Steady light,

Just there.

And now just with each inhale,

In through your nose,

Just feel that light growing just a little brighter in your chest.

And with an exhale now,

Just feeling your shoulders drop,

Releasing the pressure to get everything perfect.

And now bring to mind something you've been hesitating on.

Maybe it's a decision,

A step,

Or something you've been overthinking.

Hold it lightly and just repeat with me silently now.

Today,

I'll back myself instead of doubting every move.

And just feel how your body responds.

Confidence doesn't need to be loud,

It's just honest,

Just grounded.

And just take one more breath for me now,

In through your nose,

Allowing that inner light to expand through your whole body.

And as you exhale now through your mouth,

Just gently repeat once more.

I trust myself.

And as you move through your day,

Just notice the moments when self-doubt tries to take the lead.

Pause,

Breathe,

And remind yourself that you're capable.

And today,

Remember,

Today I'll back myself instead of doubting every move.

And as you move forward now,

Just remember that on the next few screens,

You'll be invited to set this intention or a variation of it on your Insight Timer home screen.

The simple act of seeing your intention reflected back throughout the day is really enough to create change.
