I asked myself a question the other day.
I asked myself what I think is the meaning of life.
I realized I had a few ideas,
And I wanted to share them.
The meaning of life is noticing all the small details.
Laughing when we need to laugh.
Crying when we need to cry.
Standing up for what we believe.
But letting go when it's time.
It's being honest with ourselves and those around us.
Finding ways to make other people smile when they've had a hard time.
Helping those who need help.
And shining a light to brighten their darkness.
It's letting our conviction guide us when we feel totally lost.
Doing the right thing,
Even when it throws us out of our comfort zone.
Admitting defeat when the victory is long gone.
And coming to terms with that.
Valuing every moment we have.
And waking up with just a little bit of excitement.
Because no one knows what the day ahead might bring.
It's having the courage to love with our whole heart.
Even when the fear of that love being rejected scares us.
Submitting we're wrong when we're wrong.
Being vulnerable and open-minded.
Remembering we're only human.
And remembering that's enough.
Finding connection when we least expect it.
And giving ourselves time to get where we're going.
The meaning of life is life itself.
We can't stop it.
And it'll go on even when we're no longer here.
It's life.
It's life.
