Very often, our mood overwhelms our True Self like an opaque veil with no light coming through. But still, if we look carefully, we realize the mood is something that will pass away like a headache. The mood is not who we are. If we know ourself as "I am in a foul mood" – who is it that knows that? Be the knower and let the mood go its own way.

Sometimes we wear a mask.

Now it's become fashionable to wear a mask in public.

I mean,

You go out,

Even some places are requiring you can't come into a store without a mask on.

And that's fine.

I mean,

Things change.

It used to be you had to take the mask off,

Now you've got to put the mask on.

Opposites,

You pivot from one side to the other.

You go with the flow,

You fight against the current,

You make your mind up,

You choose your battles,

You enjoy your own self.

And then maybe you decide you want to change a little bit.

You want to be a little happier?

Or you want to be a little less happy?

I don't know,

Do people want to be less happy than they are?

I mean,

I think everybody wants to be a little happier or more happier than they are.

So here's a way to get a little bit happier.

Let the airplane you hear fly by.

And take a look at who you are.

Are you a mask that you're wearing?

Are you think of yourself?

If I asked you,

Who are you?

Do you consider yourself a man,

A woman,

Old,

Young,

A happy person,

A sad person?

All of those are labels that go on the top of your true nature,

Who you really are.

So we limit ourselves very,

Very often to the labels that we put on ourselves.

And therefore,

We limit our understanding or connection or compassion,

Empathy for other people to the labels we put on those people.

So first,

Take a look at your own labels.

And then see that other people have the same concerns,

The same problems,

The same joys.

And we're all in the same boat,

Which is beginning to be able to see that boat analogy a little more easily now,

Because the whole world is kind of in the same boat or on the same world,

The same globe,

Traveling through the universe.

So we're starting to see things a little differently.

And when you can take a look at yourself,

You can see that you're just not the mask.

You're the inner true self that's there.

Other people are their inner true self.

Don't limit the view you have of yourself.

And unlimit the view that you have of other people so you can see their true self is very similar to your true self.

And then that empathy and compassion naturally spreads right out.

You'll feel better about yourself.

You'll feel better about other people.

And you might even be a little bit happier.

Have a wonderful day.

Be happy.
