And this meditation is here to help you connect with the energy of Capricorn.
Capricorn is the earth sign that ties us into the very bedrock of our planet.
Ruled by Saturn,
The planet of time and endurance,
Capricorn is concerned with creating things that last.
Capricorn honors earthly realities,
But it preserves its own special connection to the realm of spirit,
Seeing us through the month after winter solstice,
When we,
Like so many plants and animals,
Must conserve our energy and rest.
So Capricorn can endure,
While working to sustain and conserve what is needed and what is valued,
To help things last,
And to build wisely and strategically toward a better future.
So as you deepen into your breath,
Beginning to allow each inhale and exhale to be a little longer and a little more spacious,
Allowing your awareness to settle into your body,
Turning your gaze inward,
I want you to imagine that you have roots growing down from the bottom of your seat and from the soles of your feet,
Down through the surface below you and into the earth,
Spreading through the soil,
Grounding you,
Steadying you,
And extending all the way to the bedrock below.
I want you to notice the beings surrounding your roots in the soil,
Magical mycelia that translate,
Communicate,
And process life,
Allowing your roots to connect with the flowing energy of these life forms,
Bringing insight,
Inspiration,
And love up through the soles of your feet,
Into your body,
Filling you with reverence and resilience.
