Welcome to day five of seven days of chakra awareness.
In this series,
We explore the subtle energy centers of your body to restore harmony and expand your inner awareness,
Bringing more clarity,
Calm,
And vitality into your daily life.
Today,
We turn our attention to the throat chakra,
Vishuddha,
Located at the base of your throat.
This center governs communication,
Expression,
And authenticity,
The bridge between your inner truth and the outer world.
When it's open and balanced,
Your voice flows naturally,
Guided by honesty and calm confidence.
Find a comfortable seated position.
Let your sitting bones root into the ground and your spine rise tall,
Long and open like a clear channel between earth and sky.
Rest your hands gently on your lap,
Palms facing upward.
Begin to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Allow your body to settle.
Now,
Let's shift into ujjayi breath.
You do this by closing your mouth,
Inhaling and exhaling through your nose,
Gently constricting the back of your throat,
Creating a soft whispering sound with every inhale and exhale.
You would feel the flow of air,
Not in your nostrils,
But in your throat,
Creating a gentle,
Snoring,
Rushing sound that's very quiet,
Only you're supposed to be able to hear it.
Feel this subtle vibration brushing the inside of your throat,
A sound that belongs only to you.
Continue breathing this way,
In and out through your throat,
Constricting your throat.
The ujjayi breath awakens your vishuddha,
The energy center of truth,
Sound and authentic voice.
As you breathe,
Visualize a soft blue light glowing at the base of your throat,
Expanding with every exhale.
This blue light is like a clear sky,
Vast,
Open,
Boundless.
Each breath clears away the clouds of fear or self-doubt that once blocked your voice.
Each exhale carries away old words left unspoken.
Each inhale fills you with a calm confidence to speak your truth.
Now,
Imagine this blue light spreading to your jaw,
Your tongue,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
The entire area begins to hum with gentle resonance,
As if your whole being were tuning itself to truth.
Stay with the ujjayi breath,
Letting the vibration in your throat become a reminder of your power to express.
You don't need to force or plan what to say.
Just feel the freedom of clear space inside.
Now,
Bring your attention to your heart for a moment.
And from there,
Let one phrase rise naturally into your throat.
Maybe it's,
I'm safe to speak.
Maybe my voice matters.
Maybe it's okay to say no.
Whisper it softly,
Letting it vibrate through the blue light.
Take a few more deep,
Slow ujjayi breaths.
Sense how grounded and open your throat feels now,
A bridge between your heart and your mind,
Between inner knowing and outer expression.
Allow yourself to rest in that spacious clarity for a few quiet moments.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Notice the ground beneath you,
The air around you,
And the steady rhythm of your breath.
Softly wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe place your hands together in front of your heart.
You're speaking your truth.
Your words matter.
And your voice carries peace.
