Hello friend.

Thank you for being here with me.

Let's get cozy and find some rest for our body and our mind.

Before we find our seat today,

Take a moment here to set up your space.

Maybe you light a candle or incense.

Maybe you make a little nest of pillows and blankets for yourself,

Or maybe you steep a cup of your favorite tea.

This is a time for you,

So make it as yummy as you can,

Whatever that means to you.

And whenever you're ready,

Make your way into an extra comfy position.

Maybe you lean back against something today.

Maybe you lie down,

Or maybe you curl up in your nest.

Just take your time settling in,

Really moving with kindness,

Slowing everything down,

Listening to your body,

Really connecting with yourself in a way that only you can.

And once you find some stillness in the body,

Maybe you close your eyes and start to notice how you feel.

Shining a little light inside of yourself.

Lighting a candle and exploring all the dark corners and crevices.

Seeing things as they are,

Right here and now.

No judgment,

No desire to change.

Just allowing whatever is there to be there.

Bringing some awareness to your breath now.

Notice the natural quality of your inhales and exhales.

Maybe even notice if your breath starts to shift as you rest your awareness on the ground.

Just paying attention to the way your breath moves through you.

Your body rising with each inhale,

Falling with each exhale.

Observing any thoughts passing through your mind.

Allowing them to float through the background of your awareness as your breath takes center stage.

Anchoring your mind as best you can to stay focused on your breath moving through your body right here,

Right now.

Take a moment to imagine yourself out in nature,

Under the stars.

The sun has just set and night is falling around you.

The sounds of the day fading away,

Of warm darkness wraps its arms around you and you feel held,

Safe.

The moon reflects its light upon your face.

Fireflies dance and sparkle behind your eyelids.

There's nothing to be done,

Nothing to accomplish or to check off your to-do list.

It's time to rest.

As best you can,

Invite your body to relax here.

See if you can grow heavy through your muscles and bones,

Surrendering through the body,

Releasing toward the earth,

Softening,

Letting go.

Just for now,

What if you could take any tension in your body,

Any pain or tightness,

Any worries or stressors on your mind,

What if you could take them all and place them in individual bubbles,

Releasing them into the space around you.

They can still be present,

You can still observe them and acknowledge them,

But for now,

Notice what it might feel like to not claim them as part of you,

To let them float in space,

Unattached,

Untethered.

Notice what it might feel like to release them from your grip,

From your body,

From your mind.

Just for now.

And as your physical body grows more relaxed with each breath,

Every cell of your being supported and held in this moment,

You feel yourself becoming lighter under this night sky,

Almost as if without any tension,

Without anything weighing you down,

Without having to hold yourself up,

You feel yourself hovering in space,

In this peaceful darkness,

Easy,

Effortless,

Free.

Inhales and exhales moving through you with ease,

Your body floating atop the waves of your breath,

Weightless.

Just for now,

It's only you and your breath,

With absolutely nothing to do in this moment,

But be here,

Now.

Floating in the darkness with the fireflies,

Suspended in the light of the moon,

Allowing yourself to rest.

Slowly begin to invite a little movement into your fingers and toes,

Bringing your awareness back into your body,

Deepening through your breath.

Bring your hands together at your heart,

Palm to palm or palms to chest.

Notice how you feel.

Thank yourself for showing up,

For creating this space for rest.

Let's take a final deep breath in,

And a long breath out.

It is such an honor to be still with you,

Among the fireflies.

Until next time,

Take care.
