Transcript

Do I meditate for something or for some goal or objective?

Do I?

Because there are no promises in meditation practice.

Because there is no place for goals and ambitions in meditation practice.

We just decide to practice meditation and that is already a demanding and often arduous decision.

The mind always wants to hold on to something,

To be entertained by something,

To compete,

To achieve and fight for something.

Meditation is letting go,

Surrendering,

Release.

Soon,

The mind creates all the excuses,

Stories,

Narratives to not allow itself to simply be.

To meditate.

Therefore,

The practice of meditation is self-contained.

Everything else just happens and is not in our control or agency,

Including the influence of meditation on our lives.

Thank you.

See you in the next Daily Pneuma.

Big hug in your heart.
