The best advice for a more meditative life We practice meditation to cultivate the attributes that emerge from the practice of meditation in ourselves and in our lives.
An organic phenomenon,
A natural consequence,
Which can happen more or less,
A lot or a little,
In a subtle,
Surprising and even mysterious way.
And we trust.
When we practice meditation,
We surrender any search of and for results.
We practice meditation as awareness and trust in awareness itself.
The mind loves to hinder,
Resist,
Sabotage,
Divert any meditation practice.
The mind wants to be in control,
In dominance,
Wants the exclusive spotlight of our attention.
So we continue.
Practicing meditation regularly can prove challenging,
As you may have already experienced.
The heart's love,
Connection,
Affection,
Connection,
Have the power and ability to cross these mind-created barriers to consciousness.
Since meditation is the channel to access consciousness,
The best advice I have for a more meditative life is Find a teacher,
A group,
A community to which you feel affection and connection,
To which you feel fraternity and communion,
A teacher,
A group,
A community to which you feel nostalgia,
Enthusiasm in sharing,
Desire to hug,
And practice meditation together.
The rest happens.
A big hug in your heart.
See you in the next Daily Pneuma.
Thank you.
