Deep breaths.
We're focusing on mind,
Body,
Spirit,
Health in this meditation.
The interconnectedness of each aspect of our human experience.
If our mind is unhappy or stressed,
It will affect our health.
If our body suffers in any way,
It will affect our mental health.
When we are weak,
Discouraged,
Forlorn,
Our spirit will glow dully.
So we cannot neglect any aspect of this circle of human experience.
What do you have in your life that provides balance?
What kind of exercise?
What about your diet?
And what about your spiritual self?
Is it nurtured,
Encouraged?
How can you use mindfulness to help create the balance that you need to be healthy and vital?
We have so many resources for health,
And hopefully we can afford them.
Do not neglect science.
Embrace it.
But also look to nature and to ancient traditions.
Look to cultures that have healthy lifestyles.
Where there is little obesity,
Where people exercise and live to ripe old age.
When we look to these ancient traditions,
We will find there is spirituality,
Belief systems,
Meaning and purpose.
So just meditate on what you can do to bring your life into balance and to keep it that way.
Not just exercise.
Not obsessively healthy eating.
Balance.
Not obsession.
The mindful balance we can all achieve in this marvelous,
Interconnected,
Varied world of opportunity.
