Many of us have grown up with the conditioning of performance-based acceptance where the unconditional love and wholehearted embrace our hearts were created to unfold and blossom with was missing.
This love we received was transactional and oftentimes conditional.
It's based upon whether or not we pleased those who cared for us.
Please join me in this self-reflection on love that will cleanse and prepare our hearts to blossom and expand.
After each line is read,
I invite you to repeat the line internally or aloud to your own heart.
Cultivating self-love is critical for us if we are to meet the challenges of our daily life and hold space for our own pain and sorrow with openness and spaciousness within our hearts,
Simply loving what is.
As our capacity grows to listen and to speak from our hearts,
We will cultivate the light and energy that only comes with unconditional and wholehearted love.
Please settle into your space however you are choosing to participate in this meditation.
Allow your respirations to be normal and at ease.
Feel that your body is supported and that you are safe and well.
Let's begin now.
When sadness grips my heart,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
When anger stirs within me,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
When frustration clouds my mind,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
In times of hurt,
Heartbreak,
Shame,
Or guilt,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
When embarrassment follows my actions,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
In moments of pride and accomplishment,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
Regardless of my emotions,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
Despite my thoughts,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
No matter the past I've endured,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
No matter the future's uncertainties,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
On my darkest days,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
Even when life feels harsh and perplexing,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
When I am alone,
Seeking solace,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
In remembering how I can best serve the world,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
Regardless of my limitations,
The grudges I hold,
Or the love I cannot give,
I deserve more love,
Not less.
I deserve more love.
Love is now.
Love has always been here.
Love is all and in all.
Most of all.
