In this meditation, you will be guided into a restful, peaceful, and calm state to help prepare you for deep sleep. We will begin the practice with the playing of a Tibetan singing bowl, followed by gentle, soothing chimes throughout. This is an opportunity for you to let go of the day, sink into the Earth beneath you, and calm the nervous system. There will be affirmations to help bring your long day to a close.

Good evening Thank you for joining me for this guided meditation for restful sleep This is a gentle and warm invitation for you to slow down the body and the mind and calm the nervous system after a long day An opportunity to unwind and let go of any noisy thoughts or tension and sink into a state of peace,

Presence,

And stillness Settling in,

You may choose to stay seated or lay down for this practice Taking time to become comfortable now Perhaps using blankets and pillows to create a cozy cocoon for yourself for your sacred,

Tired vessel Whatever you choose to do to prepare,

I encourage you to move slowly with intention and with gentleness Showing up for yourself here with love and patience Once you've settled in,

You may choose to invite the gaze inwards by shutting down the eyes and simply begin to notice how the body feels here Noticing the heaviness or lightness of the body Sensing the ground or bed beneath you and gently explore where you might be able to soften further where you might be able to release even more deeply And now let's welcome a few deeper breaths into the body Taking two sips of air in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth with a sigh Releasing thoughts,

Releasing all moments of the past and the future Let's do this twice more Inhaling two sips in through the nose Exhaling out through the mouth With each exhale,

The body becoming more and more relaxed Once more,

Two sips in through the nose And sighing,

Letting go The whole body softening and becoming heavy against the earth A deep surrender Letting go of anything that you may be holding on to Sensing the darkness behind the eyelids Relaxing the tiny muscles of the eyes Releasing the tongue away from the roof of the mouth Releasing the jaw and parting the teeth The whole face becoming relaxed Shoulders sinking down and back Beginning to scan down the body Down through the arms The hands and the fingers Scanning down the neck and the chest The belly and the back The hips heavy The legs heavy The feet resting The whole body softening,

Relaxing and releasing here Creating space within the body for peace and restoration And slowly shift your awareness to your third eye This space that resides slightly above the junction of the eyebrows Towards the middle of the forehead And as you hold your attention in this space Begin to visualize a clear starry night sky This night sky is calm and quiet Safe and secure Now begin to imagine you can draw breath in through your third eye And exhale through your third eye Breathing in through this space in the middle of the forehead And breathing out And with each breath this starry night sky expands Sky expands Inhaling slowly Exhaling slowly Your whole being coalescing and connecting with the vast open sky Becoming one Healing and calming energy Washing through your entire being Floating Drifting Sinking into stillness I welcome you to repeat or simply receive the following affirmations I am grateful for my body and honor it with rest My mind is calm and clear I welcome a peaceful and restorative night's sleep Slowly begin to invite your awareness back into your physical body Gently wriggle the fingers and the toes Notice your breath Notice your body And take whatever time you need now to transition into sleep Sending you peace and sending you love And sending you love With gratitude and good night to you,
