The spring and autumn equinoxes are the times of year when the sun crosses the equator, and across the world, day and night are of equal length. This celestial coming back into balance is an excellent time to pause and look at our own lives, and pose the question: where am I out of balance? How can I bring myself back into balance? In this meditation we will use awareness of breath and a centering thought to focus our awareness on bringing ourselves and our lives back into balance.

I return to balance and equinox meditation.

The spring and autumn equinoxes are the times of year when the sun crosses the equator and across the world day and night are of equal length.

This celestial coming back into balance is an excellent time to pause and look at our own lives and pose the question,

Where am I out of balance?

How can I bring myself back into balance?

Let's just take a moment to sit with those questions.

Don't scrabble around in your mind for an answer.

Just pose the question and allow your subconscious mind to do the work for you.

In the coming days and weeks,

You may find your attention drawn to behaviours and habits you hadn't noticed before,

Places in your life where you can make subtle but very real shifts in behaviour to bring things back into balance.

But for now,

Take a deep breath,

Hold it at the top,

Exhale and let's begin.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Notice its rise and fall,

The inherent rhythm and balance that is present in your body every moment of your life.

Sit in stillness for a moment and observe the breath.

This is your body's natural state of balance and equilibrium.

Prepare for the practice of three rounds of blowingsrc NOTE Confidence Now we will introduce our centering thought.

As the days and nights return to equilibrium,

So I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

Repeat these words silently to yourself as you sit in stillness.

If at any time you notice that your thoughts have wandered off,

Simply return to the words,

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

I return to balance.

It's time to release the words and return to the present moment.

Take a deep breath in and hold it at the top.

Place one or both hands on your heart to seal in the work we have just done.

I return to balance.
