Dear fear,
What do you want my dear?
What are you so afraid of?
What keeps you caged inside a box?
What is it that you think is outside of it?
What's the worst thing that could happen?
What happened that made you this way?
What is it in your belief system that makes you make the certain choices now?
Whatever is here in this space,
Dear one,
Know it's okay.
It's all okay.
You are okay.
We are okay.
We always will be.
We always have been.
Even in the worst of times,
Whether it was life happening to us or the choices we made or didn't make,
We always ended up being okay.
Yes,
Perhaps more wounds,
Scars,
Bumps,
And painful memories.
But something was always there.
Do you know that,
Dear fear?
Do you know we have another friend always close by?
Her name is trust.
Trust.
Trust gives us a path that isn't always clear.
It isn't always clear when we see it from afar,
But within each step,
It becomes more solid,
More real,
More believable that we are safe.
Lean into her,
Dear fear.
She will guide the way.
You don't always have to drive now.
Let trust in me move gently along.
Take a rest.
You have been working overtime for far too long.
We still need you.
Please know that.
But I ask you to lean into trust.
You too are my closest friends to keep me safe.
You can tell me if you feel the ground is not solid.
Guide me to step cautiously.
But let me feel it for myself.
Allow me to take the next step with trust.
If the path should crumble below,
We will listen intently to your warnings.
But do not feel the need to work overtime anymore.
Let trust hold you so you can rest,
Dear friend.
Rest in the arms of trust.
Rest so we can be free.
Let her guide us.
You have been working far too long.
Rest.
Rest so we all can be free.
Let her guide us.
