My daughter has struggled with going to sleep. I sit by her bed at night and soothe her worries with prayerful meditation. One night after helping her, my angels woke me up to help me write this poetic prayer. I share it with you and your little ones too. So that each night before bed, you may find peace and rest with the light and love that angels bring. The day is done.

The night has come.

All that has happened is past.

It is time for rest at last.

Come to bed.

Rest your head.

And peace you'll find as you quiet your mind.

Let me calm your worries.

Let me slow your hurry.

It is time for sleep once more.

Come and rest assure.

Take your deep breaths out.

Letting go without a doubt.

Take your deep breaths in,

Letting calm begin.

Breathing out to release.

Breathing in bringing peace.

Feel the worries of the day with each breath wash away.

Feel the fears begin to fade with each breath they wash away.

Feel so calm and clear.

Filled with love my dear.

Remembering these while you sleep.

And in your heart you will keep.

I am loved.

I am safe.

I am calm.

I am brave.

I am wise.

I am good.

I am kind.

I am divine.

Now it is time to say goodbye to this day.

So with each breath calm your cares.

And with you heavenly peace I share.

Sense the light from above,

Feeling you with the warmth of love.

Feel it from your head to your toes.

Moving and soothing wherever it goes.

Clearing and cleansing all of you.

The divine light moving through your head and mind.

Your eyes and ears.

Your nose and mouth.

Your neck and shoulders.

Your heart and chest.

Your stomach and spine.

Your hips and legs.

Your ankles and feet.

You are bathed in this light.

It will be with you through the night.

Moving the light through your feet to the earth it does meet.

Connecting you to the core of earth.

Grounding you with each breath.

Sense this light supporting you.

Sense the light strengthening you.

While you sleep soft and deep.

Surrounded by this pillar of light nourishing you through the night.

Feel the breath bring you deep into the state of restful sleep.

Light expands and fills the space.

Light protects the entire place.

Protecting you with love and light and angels to watch you through the night.
