As you settle into your space,
Gently close your eyes and allow your body to find a comfortable position.
Take a moment to notice your breath.
There's no need to change it,
Just observe it.
Feel the sensation as the air fills your lungs.
Notice the way it feels when the air leaves your body.
Feel the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale,
Like the ebb and flow of the ocean waves.
Let's begin by taking three deep breaths together.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Inhale once more.
Deep breath in.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently guide it back to the sensation of your breath.
If a thought enters your mind,
Simply acknowledge it,
Let it pass and redirect your focus back to your breath.
No judgement,
Just a soft return to the present moment.
Breathe in.
As you continue to breathe,
Notice where you feel the breath in your body,
Perhaps in your chest,
In your abdomen or the tip of your nose and let your awareness rest there.
Notice how your breath anchors you,
Steady and constant like the waves of the sea.
With each exhale,
Release any tension you might be holding onto,
Allow yourself to feel lighter with every breath.
As we come to the end of this practice,
Bring a gentle awareness to your surroundings,
Wiggle your fingers and toes and when you're ready,
Open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.
Carry this sense of calm and presence with you throughout the day.
