
Astral Projection Meditation | Hammock Technique
This astral travel guided meditation guides you through an OBE technique called the target technique. It is set to gamma waves created by Elevated State of Self, and occasionally to the sound of ocean waves, provided by ZapSplat. My voice will fall away after about 35 minutes of guidance, allowing you to immerse yourself in whatever experience you are having, whether it's deep relaxation, a full-out-of-body experience, or deep sleep.

I'm Rosalie and welcome to this guided astral projection meditation designed to help you tap into expanded states of consciousness and explore beyond the limits of the physical body.
I will first guide you to a light altered state using yoga nidra.
The whole idea is to allow your body to deeply relax whilst you keep your mind awake and alert.
This mind awake body asleep state is the optimal springboard for an out of body experience.
Once you're in this light altered state of awareness,
I'll guide you through a simple technique to exit the physical body.
There are many techniques,
The one we'll explore in this track is the hammock technique.
Before we begin,
You may wish to pause for a moment and look at the image on your screen.
Use this as a visual reference as this technique will invite you to imagine yourself lying on a hammock in the sea,
Just as you see in the image.
We'll be drawing on all of your senses here,
Your sense of inner sight,
Your sense of touch,
Feeling,
Hearing,
Smell and taste.
Do not worry if visualization isn't your strongest sense.
Rely more heavily on your other senses.
And trust that whatever happens next is the perfect experience for you at this time.
No pressure,
No expectations.
Could you be open and receptive to whatever happens next?
And do not worry if you fall asleep.
You may find yourself waking up at a later point,
Perhaps in the vibrational state,
Or perhaps in a full out of body experience.
And even if you do not astral project at this time,
You will gain all the benefits of the ancient practice of yoga nidra,
Allowing your body and your mind to bathe in the medicine of deep rest.
Let's begin.
Take a few moments to get completely comfortable.
Stretch your legs out,
Let your feet flop to the sides.
Adjust your headphones if you need,
And then place your hands wherever they feel the most comfortable.
And use any props you might need to feel warm and cozy,
Completely at ease.
Make any adjustments now.
And as you do this,
Could you take up all the space around you?
Imagine spreading yourself out as much as possible.
You might imagine creating a little cocoon around you,
A sacred space of pure comfort,
Where you feel safe,
Supported,
And cradled by the surface beneath you.
Could you allow yourself to sink back,
Really land into the support beneath you?
Throughout this practice,
Try to remain completely still,
But if there's anything that prevents you from fully relaxing,
For example if you need to scratch,
There's no harm in moving,
But then return to stillness.
Let's take 3 physiological sighs together.
That's 2 sips of air through the nose.
Long exhale through the mouth.
And again.
Allow your lips to come together,
Breathing in and out through your nose.
And with every exhale,
Allow yourself to sink back even deeper.
Letting go of any sense of effort,
Of doing.
Nothing is required of you here.
No planning,
No thinking.
Could you allow all thoughts to simply dissolve as you drop into the realms of feeling,
Sensing,
And listening?
Could you release any sense of tightness or gripping in the forehead,
Around the eyes,
Softening all the little muscles around the eyes?
Allowing the eyes to sink back into the sockets.
Releasing the jaw,
Body,
Softening,
Letting go.
And could you release any gripping in the mind?
Allowing the mind to be open,
Relaxed,
Completely letting go.
Now,
Could you imagine yourself zooming out so you could observe yourself from the outside,
Perhaps on the other side of the room,
Or perhaps above you?
What does your physical body look like?
Lying here,
Completely at ease,
Resting.
Now zooming back in,
Shifting your awareness inside,
And gathering all your awareness at the heart space,
The centre of your chest.
From this space,
Could you welcome your sankalpa,
Or heartfelt intention?
Perhaps you're working with your own,
Or for this practice,
You might invite the phrase I am ready to astral project with ease.
Mentally repeat your sankalpa,
Or this phrase,
Three times.
I am ready to astral project with ease.
Now,
Embrace your sankalpa,
Or this phrase,
With the whole of you.
Welcoming the seed of intent to be planted deep within your heart.
Now we will rotate our awareness,
Our energy,
Through different parts of the body.
You might imagine this like a stream,
Or current of light,
Gliding gently from part to part.
As I name each part,
Could you bring all of your energy,
Your attention to that part?
You may like to imagine imprinting it with a little point of light,
Like a little star.
Activating that part with energy and light.
Beginning at the crown of the head,
Gathering all your awareness,
And placing a little point of light at the crown of your head.
The centre of your forehead,
The third eye.
Both eyes.
Both ears.
Inside both ears.
The centre of the throat.
The centre of your chest,
Your heart space.
The right shoulder.
Elbow.
Wrist.
The palm of your hand.
The right thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
And little finger.
Little points of light at all five fingertips of the right hand.
Shoulder.
The right side of your chest.
The left side of your chest.
Waist.
The sole of your foot.
The right big toe.
Second toe.
Third.
Fourth.
And little points of light at the tips of all five toes of the right foot.
Flowing up the top of your foot.
A sense of the whole right foot and leg.
The whole right side of the torso.
The hand and arm.
Now the whole right side of the body together.
Grimming with sensation and energy.
As the light of awareness spreads through the whole right side of your body,
You might imagine the left side dissolving.
Falling into darkness.
Only the right side remains.
Noticing any sensations,
Any energy surges or pulses.
The whole right side.
Now allow your attention to gather back at the heart space,
The centre of your chest.
The left shoulder.
Elbow.
The palm of your hand.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little points of light at all five fingertips of the left hand.
Awareness back to the palm.
Elbow.
Shoulder.
The left side of your chest.
The sole of your foot.
The left big toe.
Second toe.
Third.
Little points of light.
The tips of all five toes.
The top of your foot.
A sense of the whole left foot and leg.
The whole left side of the torso.
The left hand and arm.
Up to the top of the head.
The whole left side of your body.
Full of sensation and awareness.
The whole left side shimmering in the light of awareness.
As if the right side could dissolve.
The whole left side brimming with sensation and awareness.
Now both sides together.
The left side and the right side.
Saturating both sides of the body equally.
Saturating simultaneously.
Both sides lit up with little points of light.
Brimming with energy and sensation.
The whole front body.
Front body brimming with energy and light.
Tingling with sensation,
Awareness and light.
Whole body as one.
Sensing the whole body now as one.
Illuminated,
Glowing with little points of light.
As the mind remains awake and alert.
Now could you sense the natural rhythm of your breath.
Noticing the body breathing itself in and out.
You might sense this like waves.
Waves of breath rolling in.
Waves of breath rolling out.
As you sense the breath in the body,
Could you imagine each inhale breathing in more energy and light.
Each exhale glowing brighter and brighter.
Fill yourself up as you inhale.
Trillions of cells glowing with energy and light.
Glowing brighter and brighter as you exhale.
Continue like this without changing the breath.
Brimming with energy and light within you and around you.
Really tune in to this energy within you as you sense into your subtle non-physical body this layer of you that's made of light,
Of energy,
Of prana.
As you sense into this light part of you,
Could you imagine lying comfortably in a hammock,
Floating in the sea,
A sparkling clear blue sea.
The water completely supports every part of your body.
You may visualize this.
See yourself lying in a hammock in the sea.
Above you,
A bright blue sky.
Before you,
A vast horizon.
Spacious,
Limitless,
Free.
Perhaps you see the shore.
The palm trees swaying in the wind.
Just paint the picture in your mind.
Now what can you sense and feel as you imagine yourself lying in a hammock in the sea?
Could you sense the whole of you,
Weightless,
Completely supported,
Floating,
And perhaps ever so gently swaying from side to side.
Can you feel the water on your skin?
Perhaps the warmth of the sun enveloping you.
Savor the sensation of floating in the sea,
Swaying from side to side.
Now what can you hear?
Perhaps the sound of waves.
Could you allow the sound of waves to enhance this feeling of gently swaying from side to side.
Let these waves carry you from side to side.
What can you smell and taste?
Perhaps the saltiness in the air and your tongue.
Use all your senses to feel yourself lying in a hammock,
Floating in the sea.
Perhaps you can visualize this sense yourself swaying from side to side,
Noticing the sounds around you,
The tastes and smells.
And as you feel the warmth of the sun above you and the water around you,
Could you allow this to dissolve all sensations in the physical body?
All sensations in the physical body dissolve.
Just fall away as you sense yourself as pure energy and light.
Now,
Only the light of your awareness remains.
Continue to float here,
Swaying from side to side,
Drifting as pure energy and light.
And as you continue to ever so gently sway from side to side,
The subtle light part of you loosening,
Detaching,
Swaying.
You may notice energy sensations,
Surges or waves of energy flowing through you.
And if you do sense sensations at any point,
Surrender to them,
Allow them to take over,
Knowing that you're completely safe and held in this space.
And as you let these sensations take over,
Simply bring to mind where you want to go and add that as a command.
Out of body now.
Now bring back to mind your intention for this practice,
Perhaps your own sankalpa,
Or perhaps the phrase,
I am ready to astral project with ease.
Continue to allow yourself to drift here,
To sway from side to side as pure energy and light.
Tuning in to this lighter,
Vibrational body,
That part of you that's completely free of all limits.
That part of you that is ready to astral project with ease.
