Hello beautiful souls. Welcome to my heart. This is my reading of my poem And So We Play. I write poetry to make sense of, express, and capture how I feel, in any given experience, as I make my way through this life. Some of the things I experience in life can be very hard to logically explain, but poetry doesn't need, and has never needed, to be logical. What my poetry means to me may be very different from what it means to you. Such is the beauty of art. I hope it touches you, in the way you need to be touched, in this very moment. From my heart to yours.

And so we play at being human,

And we get wrapped up in the stories of our lives,

And all the while a sense of longing,

Something clawing at us through the mud,

Something we can't quite speak into words,

An underlying discontentment,

Our soul who knows who we are and desperately wants us to remember.
