My name is Sangeet,
And today I am speaking about letting go.
Sometimes it may be hard for us to let go,
Because it feels as if we are losing something.
However,
In reality,
We can never lose anything,
Because nothing is really ours to begin with.
We didn't come to this planet to have or to own anything.
We came here to experience.
But then we get so entangled in certain things that it becomes difficult to come out of them,
Or we like them so much that we want to keep them.
As a result,
We become afraid of losing them,
And therefore we end up losing ourselves.
We keep identifying us with our stories,
And when everything falls apart,
We don't recognize ourselves anymore,
And we lose what we thought it was our identity.
Nobody likes the feeling of losing ourselves.
It feels empty,
Right?
But this only happens because we forget who we truly are.
The reason why it becomes so hard to let go of the things that we are used to have in our lives,
Like the job,
The house,
The people,
Is because,
At some level,
We create our identities around them.
This human experience is not supposed to be stagnant.
It is supposed to change and to naturally transform.
The moment that we accept this,
We start seeing clearly what serves us and what doesn't as beings of energy.
Not what we like at the surface and from a place of fear,
But what truly and deeply benefits us.
Letting go implies that we comprehend this process.
It implies that we understand that we are not made of things or people.
We are made of light,
And that we are only temporary travelers on Earth.
We can only grow and evolve if we give ourselves permission to be more,
To experience more.
Holding ourselves back will only create feelings of frustration and of regret.
It is when we are no longer afraid of being truly and deeply happy that we can really see clearly what is best for us.
Maybe something served us in the past,
But not anymore,
And for some reason,
We have been keeping them,
Maybe even tolerating.
But we are meant to be joyful,
Not tolerant,
And whatever promotes our natural state of freedom is what is,
Indeed,
Good for us.
So,
Today,
Let's pay attention to what we allow to be and to stay in our lives,
And let's let go of what needs to go.
Let's empower ourselves and build the realities that we really want,
Knowing that even that will never be who we truly are.
