This is Sarah and I am so happy to have you with me again.
This practice is for the new moon in Aquarius or at any other time in your life where you want to reflect on creativity,
On your own unique gifts and how you contribute to making change in our world.
As always,
This is an interactive practice with space for you to journal and because it's a new moon,
We'll also take some time to set some intentions for the coming cycle.
A new moon is always a new beginning and by taking the astrology of each new moon and relating that to our own lives,
We can go throughout the year exploring each of these themes and we can really use that as part of our practice to live less out of habit and more out of intent.
And we begin through that practice to consciously create the things that we wish to show up in our lives.
If you haven't already,
Now is a good time to pause,
I'll wait for you and you can go and grab a journal,
Pen and paper,
It's a good time to make your space comfortable,
To make sure that you won't be disturbed for the next little while and really just time to settle in.
You might want to light a candle and just bring yourself to your centre.
If you're back with your journal and your paper and pen,
Just take some time now to take a few deep breaths and as you do that with your exhale,
Just see if you can let your shoulders drop.
Notice if there is any tension anywhere,
Any areas where there are any little niggles and just see if you can send your breath to those areas.
We want to begin from a nice calm and centred place and we want to leave anything that doesn't need to come into this session outside.
Aquarius is wonderful,
Unique,
Quirky energy.
It's very concerned with social justice,
It's a very humanitarian sign.
It reminds us that we are all connected and it really taps into that power of the collective consciousness.
It's a good time too to consider our individuality and to celebrate that and to think on the ways that our unique gifts and our passion projects can create change in the world.
Capricorn season and that Saturn and Pluto conjunction have made for quite a rocky start to January in 2020 and the energy has felt very heavy for a lot of people.
There is a lot of anger and a lot of wishing for change.
One of the ways that we can do that is to really consider what our personal contribution to that is.
First of all,
Let's take some time to reflect on the cycle that's just ending.
Let's go from the new moon on Christmas Day to now.
Take a couple of minutes and write down how this energy has felt for you with all of these planets in Capricorn and all that heavy,
Dense earth energy.
There's a real theme throughout 2020 of structures being torn down in order that we may rebuild them.
So think on these themes and just take two minutes now to reflect on how the past four weeks have been for you.
Any challenges that came up,
Any themes that have made themselves known.
Which structures in your life are being torn down?

It would be wonderful to think about the ways in which we are unique and what unique gifts we have.
And it can be quite uncomfortable to think about this and to write it down because we're not used to it and we're not used to promoting ourselves and we're also not used to appreciating and loving ourselves and giving the compassion to ourselves that we give so easily to others.
So no matter how difficult it feels,
Let's spend the next two minutes considering our uniqueness.
What is it that you and only you can do?
What is your passion project?
What is the unique talent that you have to share with the world?
What are the ways in which you can help and support others and also make change?
Take some time,
Write all of that down and I'll come back to you.

Aquarius season always reminds us that we are all connected and that regardless of any of the things which divide us,
We are all human and we are one.
So take the next two minutes to consider how you can connect more.
We lead exceedingly busy lifestyles and a lot of our communication is done online or on an app.
So let's take some time to think about the connections that we need and maybe that are lacking at the moment and how we can find ways to strengthen and deepen connections or to reach out and make connections.

It's time to turn these into our intentions.
Everything starts with intention.
So everything that we achieve,
Every way that we want to feel,
Begins with this idea.
And the new moon is just a wonderful time to commit to these intentions.
So take some time to look back over everything that you've written down.
Think about the ways in which the Capricorn energy affected you and any change that you need to make there.
Think about those passion projects,
Those unique gifts and the ways in which you want to make change.
And think about how you can do that and how you can be more connected in whatever way that looks like.
Turn these into intention statements.
The most powerful statement you can use for an intention is,
I am.
But any positive affirmation that works for you is good.
Take two minutes to write these down.
