Welcome to this short meditation for setting a new goal.
My name is Sarah and I'll be guiding you through it today.
Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes or soften your gaze toward the tip of your nose.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Continue breathing in this way,
A long breath in and a slow breath out.
Let the breath bring you here,
Into this moment,
Into this body,
Into this life.
You stand at the threshold of something new,
A goal not yet achieved,
A path not yet walked.
Before you lies possibility,
Pure and unshaped.
Feel the weight of that and feel the lightness too.
As you inhale,
Gather your energy.
And as you exhale,
Release the noise of doubt and distraction.
Let the mind soften and the heart open.
Ask yourself gently,
What do I truly want to grow in my life right now?
What do I truly want to grow in my life right now?
Let the question sit,
Like a seed planted in warm soil.
Do not rush toward the answer.
Let it arise slowly,
Like morning light.
And when it comes,
Receive it with calm attention.
No judgment,
No urgency,
Just listening.
Now imagine your goal clearly in your mind.
Give it shape,
Texture,
Even sound.
What would it feel like to walk steadily toward it?
What kind of person would you become in the process?
Know this,
You do not need to have all the steps figured out.
You only need the first step and the courage to take it.
Each breath,
Each moment will carry you forward.
There will be days of ease and days of resistance.
This is the rhythm of change.
Let it be your teacher,
Not your enemy.
Now return to your breath.
Inhale hope.
Exhale fear.
Inhale clarity.
Exhale doubt.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back.
Open your eyes,
Not to the old,
But to the new.
A goal set,
A path begun.
