Transcript

I know how to advocate for myself and my baby.

My voice matters in every room I enter.

I can and will tell my care team what I need to feel safe.

My intuition is an important part of my care team.

I can trust my body and myself.

My baby and I are safe in this moment.

I have the right to ask questions until I understand.

I have everything I need to communicate my needs to those around me.

I can always take the time to pause and make the decision that feels right for me.

I awaken to the love and safety that are all around me.

My baby is deeply loved and held.

My baby feels my love,

Peace,

And joy.

I am not alone in advocating for myself.

I can call on my support people to help advocate at any time.

My care team is here with me and for me.

I assume and trust in their positive intent.

My concerns are valid and worthy of being heard.

I do not have to apologize for wanting clarity or reassurance.

I do not have to hide my feelings to make others comfortable.

It is not my job to be a good or accommodating patient.

It is my job to be a voice for me and my baby.

No is a full sentence.

Wait is a full sentence.

This is a safe place to give birth.

It's not an emergency until someone says this is an emergency.

I am safe.

My baby is safe.
