Rise

We could soar so high if we'd only try to rise.

We could heal the earth,

Inspire and give birth instead of asking why.

We could cultivate unity instead of building up immunity to one another's pain.

We could do so much if we'd only see that we're all the same.

But we don't understand that freedom's close at hand just around the bend.

And we don't realize when we open up our eyes an opportunity to mend,

Repair,

Heal,

Feel.

Be real.

So we carry on wearing our masks thinking that it's just too great a task to care if we'd only try to rise.
