Hi this is Michelle Morrison and thank you for joining me today for this meditation.
So if you're feeling like you need a little boost in confidence then this is a meditation for you.
It's on the Manipura chakra or the solar plexus chakra.
So let's begin.
You might like to take a seated position where you're lengthening your spine and relaxing and loosening your shoulders down to your hips.
Alternatively you might like to lay on the earth with a blanket under your head with the cushions under your knees.
If it's safe for you to do so close your eyes,
Relax all the muscles around the eyes.
Maybe take a gentle swallow so you loosen the throat and then start taking a few longer relaxed breaths.
So as you breathe in welcoming the air into the lungs,
Feeling the belly expand and as you breathe out feeling everything settle back to center.
Just continue like that taking a few breaths in and out settling the body,
Relaxing the shoulders,
The hips.
And then you might like to imagine a beautiful flickering flame just above the belly button,
Just below the ribs in the center of the body.
This is a beautiful flame that moves gently side to side.
It's our internal fire,
Our internal light and it's always there as we breathe in and out.
Sometimes in the busyness we forget that we have this internal strength,
This internal light.
And the seed sound of the Manipura chakra is Ram.
So as you're breathing in and out gently through the nose if this is okay for you.
On the exhale you might add to yourself in your mind the word Ram.
So breathing in feeling the expansion of the breath.
As we breathe out Ram.
And as we breathe out Ram.
Just continue on like that resting your attention at the inner flame.
On the exhale if you choose to doing the mantra the seed sound Ram.
And as you're doing this the inner flame burns away any self-doubt,
Any fear.
You begin to feel brighter and lighter from within.
Continue on for about another five rounds.
Now as you're chanting and breathing in and out and focusing your energy on the inner flame you might like to add the Arjni mudra.
Here is where we bring both ring fingers,
Tips of the ring finger towards the middle of the palm and then place the thumb gently on the ring finger about at the first knuckle level.
The rest of the fingers stretch out.
Feeling that gentle pressure in our mudra through the fingers.
Keeping our focus quietly there.
We might add in again as we're breathing in and out on the exhale Ram.
Breathing in feeling the space and as you breathe out Ram.
Centering your focus within on that beautiful dancing inner light,
Inner flame.
Letting all self-doubt melt away.
Let this inner flame light the way forward for you.
Continue on for a few more rounds.
Release the mudra.
Release the seed sound mantra on the exhale and repeat gently after me.
I honor the power within me.
I honor the power within me.
I honor the power within me.
Just gently a few breaths now allowing yourself to soak in that affirmation,
That declaration and then slowly you might stretch the fingers feel the tension across the palm.
You might scrunch your toes give a little wiggle through the spine gently if you're seated and welcome yourself back into this space.
Lighter,
Brighter and brimming with inner power.
