If you have been following along with my guided journey so far,

You know that we have been doing some pretty serious work.

And if this is your first journey with me,

You are most welcome.

And I invite you to check out some of the others.

But,

Life can't be just work.

Can't just be healing.

As meaningful as all this work is,

We must be able to sit,

Observe ourselves,

Delight in our growth,

Have gratitude for the precise,

Possibly messy place we are today.

Pursuing betterment can actually become its own addiction,

Its own way of limiting our experience.

And so for today,

We're just going to relax.

No goal,

No achievement,

No striving,

No doing.

Just being.

So you can take a really deep breath.

Just sigh it out.

Rest your eyes.

Begin to picture beautiful water.

Clean and clear.

Life-giving water.

Dip your toes in.

Feel that it is the perfect temperature.

Notice it rising up your legs.

Covering your knees.

Your hips.

Your belly.

Feel your body free from the pull of gravity.

As this water rises.

You are light.

And your movements are smooth.

The water covers your shoulders.

Even goes over your head.

But you can breathe easily.

You can see under the water.

Rays of light filtering through.

And you can feel that silky water touching your skin.

And as the water still rises.

You relax your body even more.

You start to sink.

Down.

Like a smooth stone at the bottom of the ocean.

You are safe.

You can breathe.

And you settle into the sand at the bottom of the ocean.

You can attach yourself to the rocks under the sand.

Just like kelp.

And now feel your body unfurling upwards.

Allow the waves to rock you.

Use your breath to sway.

Just like the kelp at the bottom of the ocean.

Your body is weighted down.

Securely attached.

But also buoyant.

Pliable.

Free to undulate and sway.

And now giving your attention to your feet.

As if you could pour yourself.

Fill up your feet.

With your very essence.

Moving that awareness up to your ankles.

Shins and calves.

Sexual organs.

Rib cage.

Filling up your heart.

With all of your presence.

Shoulders.

Sending your attention up to your jaws.

Softening your lips.

Sinuses.

Ears.

Resting your awareness at the very top of your head.

And now breathing with your whole body.

Allowing the breath to flow top to bottom.

Radiating out from your lungs.

Expand and contract as the breath moves.

Delivering healthy oxygen.

Giving you life.

And you are participating in this flow.

You are creating your own life.

With this breath.

And when you are ready.

Detaching from the ocean floor.

Rising up to the surface of the water.

And emerging.

Living.

Refreshed.

Vibrant.

And you can return to this state.

Just by offering yourself the gift of relaxation.

Of being present with your breath.

And please know that you deserve this peace.

This presence.

This ease.
