This is a practice from yoga of sound.
It can help us to tune inwards and to clear energy from our system and our field.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Relaxing the body,
Noticing the drone,
Letting yourself start to listen inwards and inviting a slowing down of the breath to invite more stillness into the mind and to invite the nervous system to start to feel a little safer.
You can try breathing in for the count of three and exhaling for the count of six,
Allowing the long slow exhalation to support you.
Just noticing what kind of alignment your body is in.
Can you bring more length through the spine,
Softening through the shoulders,
Lengthening through the back of the neck,
Maybe dropping,
Tilting the chin slightly to bring more length.
Now bringing awareness to your chest and the heart region,
Maybe placing a hand over your heart to help you connect.
And we're going to invite the sound ghu,
G-h-u-u,
To resonate from within our being,
From a point within our heart and intend that the waves of sound are traveling upwards,
Up through the central column of your being,
Up and out through the top of the head.
Breathing in,
When you're ready,
Gentle production of the sound ghu.
Let the breath be slow and deep,
And again,
Same sound.
Imagine that starting from the point within your heart.
Let any static start to dissolve from your system.
This is helping us to tune in and to clear that central column,
Sending the waves of your own healing sound up through all of those key points in the brain,
Up and out through the top of the head,
Intending to release upwards and out.
Same sound,
Breath in.
Just listening for a moment,
Tuning in to what is present,
Alive,
Active in your system.
What are you starting to notice?
Seeing if you can dissolve any static from your system,
Inviting the deepening of the inner relaxation.
Same sound,
Breath in.
And again,
Breath in.
And one more,
Inhaling into the heart.
And breath in,
And imagine you can breathe up and out through that whole central column of your being,
Releasing up through the crown,
Up to the infinite.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
And as we fade out the drone into the silence,
Noticing the reverberations of all of the sounds,
Deep listening.
And when you're ready,
Gentle movements,
Coming back now.
