The peace invocation from the Atharva Veda.
Svasthi nāstārkṣo arishtane mihi svasthi nobrihas patir dadhātu auṁ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ May we see with these eyes what is good and spiritual.
May we hear with these ears what is noble and uplifting.
And may we,
While worshipping the Lord with healthy minds and bodies,
Live a life which is beneficial to ourselves and to others.
Auṁ peace,
Peace,
Peace.
And chant together.
Auṁ bhadraṁ kārṇe bhiḥ śrī-nūyāma devaḥ bhadraṁ paśyema ākṣa-bīrya-jātraḥ sthīrāya-raṅga-iṣṭuṣṭu-vamsa-sthanu-vīr vyasyema devahītaṁ yadāyuh svasthi nā indra-vṛda-śravaḥ svasthi nā pūṣa-viṣvadevaḥ svasthi nāstārkṣa-hariṣṭhane mihi svasthi nobhrihas-putirdadhātu auṁ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
