Take a second to notice your body.
You can be seated,
Lying down,
Or moving gently through your space.
There is no right way to listen.
Let this fit into your life exactly as it is today.
If it feels okay,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.
Once more,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow yourself to settle.
This is a love letter,
One you are allowed to receive without earning it first.
Dear Self,
I know you have been trying.
Even on the days it doesn't look like much from the outside.
Even on the days when progress feels invisible.
You have carried more than you ever planned to.
You have adapted.
You have kept going in quiet ways that deserve to be seen.
I want you to know that you do not need to have everything figured out to be worthy of gentleness.
You do not need to be healed,
Confident,
Or certain to deserve rest.
There are parts of you that feel tired of holding it all together.
There are parts of you that are still learning how to trust yourself.
All of that belongs here.
If there is regret in your chest,
Let it soften.
If there is grief you haven't had words for,
Let it breathe.
You are allowed to forgive yourself for what you did not know at the time.
You are allowed to forgive yourself for surviving the best way you could.
You are not behind.
You are not failing at being human.
You are becoming more honest with yourself,
And that counts.
On the days when your inner voice feels harsh,
I hope you remember this moment.
I hope you remember that you can speak to yourself with patience,
With warmth,
And with care.
You are allowed to grow slowly.
You are allowed to change your mind.
You are allowed to need reassurance more than once,
And I'm proud of you for staying,
For choosing again and again to meet yourself where you are.
Take a breath here,
And let it land.
As you move back into your day,
Carry this knowing with you.
You can return to this letter whenever you need to feel steadied,
Whenever you need to remember that you are already enough to be loved.
