To this meditation.
Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed and either lie down or sit with your back straight.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
When you exhale,
Relax everything and let it go.
Feel your body sinking into the surface that you're in.
And now bring to your awareness the issue that you're facing the resistance towards.
Maybe you can remember the last time that you felt you wanted to really do something but there was something inside you that you felt was resisting it.
See how does it appear in your body.
Does it feel like a sensation of restriction,
Of contraction or maybe tension?
Could be something else.
Just observe how it appears within you.
Where do you feel it?
Now for a moment notice how do you feel towards the resistance.
Is there any parts in you that are judging it?
If yes,
Let's ask for this part that might be judging it or feel strongly against it.
Let's ask it to give us some space for a moment.
It can be nearby if it needs to come in at any point.
And now let's go back to the resistance itself.
When you focus on it and how it feels and appears within your body,
Can you ask it what is the message that it has to communicate to you?
What is it that it wants you to know?
Maybe also ask it what is its role of being there in your system right now.
Can you ask it what does it mean right now?
Can you give it what it is that it needs?
Ask it if there is anything else it would like you to know or if there is anything else that it needs.
And now thank it for sharing with you anything that it shared and say goodbye for now.
If there are no straightforward answers that's okay.
It might just need more time before it's ready to communicate.
Resistance usually has a positive intent which is to protect us.
Even if that protection is causing us other problems sometimes,
When we find the intent behind it we can then work with it and provide for its needs.
As when we listen to it and give it attention it will feel heard.
In the cases of wanting to do something and facing resistance,
Most of the times the resistance either tries to show us that we might be saying yes to things that are not aligned with us or if they are aligned the resistance might be showing us that some parts of us might have fears connected to that thing that we want to do.
In which case we can provide further assurance for that part that resists and listen to it and then fulfill its needs in order to move on with more flow.
When you are ready you can come back and return to the space that you're in.
Become aware of your surroundings and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
Feel free to come back to this meditation to communicate with the resistance.
