This relaxation takes you to a special place.
A brief relaxation to be used to refresh or de-stress when time-out is needed.
Again,
Because the state of relaxation involves eye closure and muscular relaxation.
This CD is not to be used in a moving vehicle.
So just sitting back now in a comfortable position.
Your feet flat on the floor.
Your hands on your lap or just loose beside you.
And just choose a spot above you on the ceiling.
And once you have selected that spot,
Just keep your eyes fixed there.
Nothing else matters.
It's as if nothing else in the room exists.
Your attention is fixed on that spot.
And as you look at that spot in that fixed way.
The longer that you look at it,
The more tired,
The more heavy,
The more relaxed and sleepy your eyelids become.
As you keep your eyes fixed there,
In a moment you will take the first of three deep breaths.
You will take a long deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Think the words,
Relax now.
Again,
A second deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Think the words,
Relax now.
And the third time,
As you exhale,
Relax now.
And allow your eyelids to gently close.
With your eyelids closed,
Just imagine that you are standing at the top of a short flight of steps.
Each time you listen to this track,
Take your mind back to the same steps.
As I count from ten down to one,
You step down in your mind.
Every step taking you to a deeper level of pleasant relaxation.
Beginning at ten.
Stepping down to nine and eight.
Down to seven and six.
With every number as you step down,
You are drifting deeper.
Down to five.
Down to four.
Relaxing at three and two.
Drifting deeper at one.
And in this state of relaxation,
In your mind you go to a special place.
A place within your mind.
A retreat within your mind.
A place of beauty.
A place of peace and quiet.
A place of calmness.
And as you visit this place,
You create it in your mind.
You create comfort around you.
You create peace and quiet around you.
And as you visit this place in your mind,
You become absorbed in being there.
As you relax,
The muscles through your body are relaxing easily,
Comfortably.
The muscles around the back and sides of your head are easing off.
The muscles of your face,
Your neck and throat,
All these muscles are just easing off.
A sense of relaxation increasing as these muscles become loose and limp,
Relaxed and easy.
The relaxation spreading out around your neck.
This feeling of relaxation drifting down your spine,
From the top of your back to the middle of your back.
To your lower back.
Deeper and deeper.
The relaxation flowing out across your shoulders.
Softly,
Gently relaxing all the muscles there.
And as these muscles relax,
So the relaxation is spreading.
Spreading to nearby groups of muscles.
The muscles of your upper arms,
Relaxing down,
Down,
Around your elbows.
Down your forearms,
Through your wrists and into your hands.
Softening,
Relaxing,
Easing off all the muscles in your hands,
Right to the tips of your fingers.
And as this relaxation continues to spread through your body,
With every easy breath you breathe,
The muscles of your chest and diaphragm become loose and limp and relaxed.
This relaxation spreading through your stomach,
Through your pelvis,
The muscles of your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves and ankles,
Taking on this pleasant,
Easy relaxation.
And as the relaxation continues,
Down,
Into your feet,
Into your toes,
With every easy breath that you breathe in and out.
The relaxation is increasing within your body so pleasantly,
So easily.
And with every suggestion I give you,
You are relaxing more deeply.
You continue to hear my voice,
The music behind my voice,
The relaxation within my voice,
Within your mind.
Every day,
You are feeling more calm and in control.
As you feel more calm and in control,
The quality of your life and lifestyle is increasing.
Every day,
You are feeling more calm and in control.
A sense of ease,
A sense of calmness within you,
That is increasing the quality of your life and your lifestyle.
You move through each day with a sense of ease.
Every day,
Feeling more calm and in control,
Taking each day one day at a time,

I will just count you out from one through to five.
With every number that I count,
The energy will return back into your body.
At the count of five and not before,
Your eyelids will open,
A sense of freshness within you,
A sense of clarity.
Continuing on with the remainder of a very positive day,
Feeling fresh and clear,
A sense of energy and vitality within you.
So beginning firstly at the count of one,
Just beginning to feel the energy returning back now into your feet.
And as this energy comes back into your feet,
It begins to slowly and steadily build up,
Up through your body.
At the count of two,
You are more aware of your feet and your ankles,
Your calves and your knees,
Your thighs,
As the energy is rising up,
Up through your body.
You have a sense of feeling more aware,
More fresh,
More alert within your mind.
At the count of three now,
You inhale deeply,
Taking a long deep breath,
Increasing the energy,
The vitality within your body.
At the count of four,
Your eyelids are light,
Your eyes beneath them fresh,
Clear,
There is a sense of alertness within you.
You feel wonderful.
And at the count of five now,
Your eyes beginning to open as you bring yourself back fully,
Completely,
Returning back to the room.
And as you open your eyes and come back to the room,
When you are ready,
Just stretch out your body,
Stretching your arms and legs,
Your hands and feet,
Increasing the energy within you,
Ready for the remainder of a very enjoyable and positive day,
Feeling wonderful.
