Today, I start with a quote by Catherine Ponder. "When you hold resentment you are bound by an emotional link that is stronger than steel; the practice of forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and be free." This practice works on targeting the resentments you hold and works on enabling you to let go of them.

This is a quote by Katherine Ponder.

When you hold resentment,

You are bound by an emotional link that is stronger than steel.

The practice of forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and be free.

When you hold resentment,

It's like an emotional link that is stronger than steel.

So what we're going to do today is we're going to work on targeting some of that resentment that might be holding you in a steel band and see if we can let go of it,

Okay?

Are you ready?

I am.

Okay,

So I invite you to get comfortable in your seat.

And then taking a deep breath into the heart space.

And another breath into that heart,

Allowing it to open.

And on the next breath,

Allowing the mind to soften.

And then as you breathe into the heart space,

Begin to feel the love that you are multiplying.

Vibrating.

Feel that love resonating throughout your body,

Throughout the mental,

Emotional,

And physical bodies.

And then as you breathe into the heart space,

Begin to feel the love that you are multiplying.

Feel that love resonating throughout your body,

Throughout the mental,

Emotional,

And physical bodies.

And just letting it go so that it's activating every cell,

Filling all the cells,

All the membrane,

All the systems,

All the organs.

And feeling that love expand a little bit beyond your body,

Your physical body,

So that you're in a bubble of love.

And now I'm going to invite you to step out in this bubble of love.

And find yourself walking the rim of a canyon.

It could be the Grand Canyon in America.

It could be any canyon anywhere in the world.

But just see yourself walking that rim,

Seeing all the amazing structures that the earth built.

Probably with friction,

Right?

And just notice all the hills and valleys,

All the different colors in this canyon as you walk this rim.

Begin to feel the air.

Begin to scent the air,

Smelling all that amazing beauty.

You can actually smell beauty,

People.

Begin to just feel that as you're standing on the rim of this canyon.

And just as the canyon was made from friction,

That's also what resentment does.

It creates friction within yourself.

It creates fissures within your heart that keeps you separate from one and all,

Actually.

Because where we're separated from one,

Because of friction,

Because of resentment,

We're separated from all.

And that's true because there is only one divine source that resides within the heart of each and every individual,

Each and everything on this planet.

So as you're standing on that canyon rim,

Maybe you're pacing,

Maybe you're sitting,

Maybe you're just standing.

I want you to begin to call into your mind's eye one or two people that you're holding resentment against.

Just begin to see them.

You don't have to talk to them.

You don't have to touch them.

But just begin to notice who they are,

Becoming consciously aware that,

Yes,

I am holding resentment towards that person.

And look into any area of your previous experience,

Whether it's work-related.

Maybe there's a few people that you resented from work.

Maybe it's in your primary relationship,

Whether it's with parents or a spouse.

Just notice where you're holding resentment.

And begin to feel where that clutches in your body.

Even though the body is full of love right now,

Just notice where that resentment hides out in your body and begin to pull that forward.

In fact,

Feel your hands opening to receive this resentment,

Pulling it out of your heart,

Out of your mind,

And into your hands as you stand on the rim of your canyon.

And then think about children,

If you have any,

Where maybe you've resented something about them.

Or your animals.

Wherever there is resentment within you,

Allow it to flow into your hands,

Filling them up.

And then take a deep breath.

Breathing into that heart.

And noticing if there's any other part of resentment you want to release today.

Maybe there's some people or experiences that you've been resenting that you're not ready to release,

And that's okay.

That's okay.

But filling your hands with your resentment.

And I'm doing it too right now.

Good.

Now as you stand on the rim of your canyon,

I want you to begin to see that all the resentment that you're holding in your hands is actually turning to ash.

It's dust.

It's no thing.

And as you begin to see that,

Just hold your hands out over that rim,

And let all that ash go.

Just let it fall away from your hands as it's falling away from your mind.

And as you begin to see that ash going out over the canyon rim,

I want you to notice that it becomes this amazing golden dust that rises up,

Up into the sky.

The hemisphere,

The atmosphere,

As gold.

And with all of that being gone,

Being let go,

Take a step back from the rim of your canyon.

Just take an internal notice of how you feel.

Do you still feel a steel band around you?

Do you feel perhaps a little lighter,

A little happier?

And then taking another breath into that heart space that is love within you.

Feeling grounded in the here and now,

Knowing that you have let go today of resentment so that you can be more love,

More peace,

More joy,

More freedom,

More happiness.

So just breathing deeply.

Let yourself to become present to this room,

Your seat.

Be aware that you're a little bit lighter and your heart is a little bit fuller with love.

So I'm just going to end with,

And so it is,

Namaste.

Great approach that worked. I just needed a wheel barrow instead of my hands for my resentment so I’ll be revisiting. I also liked that you weren’t made to feel bad about your resentment. Namaste. I’m grateful for you & your talent. 🌸💕🌸

Very helpful, will listen to again as there’s a ‘root’ to this resentment that didn’t turn to ashes this time! 🙏🏻🌷🙏🏻
