June Summer Solstice,
Silent Tea,
And meditation with Susan.
The purpose of today's meditation is to bring us into alignment with the energies of summer.
Tomorrow,
June 21st,
Will be the Summer Solstice,
Which marks the beginning of summer.
This will be the highest energetic point of the year,
And the most powerful time of the sun's energy.
Nature has always had its way of signaling to us when it's time for different types of self-care and life activities.
Autumn is our time for reaping and feasting on the harvest of our manifestations.
Winter is a time for deep rest,
Turning inward in reflection.
Spring is the time for awakening and planting new seeds of life.
Summer is our time to rise up,
Celebrate personal power,
Abundance,
New growth,
And ascension,
If you will.
Ancient civilizations understood the importance of the solstice by celebrating and harnessing the sheer power of solar energy for everyday living,
As well as for personal and spiritual growth.
Stonehenge,
For example,
Is more than just an historic location.
It is aligned perfectly with the sun's rising during both winter and summer solstices.
In Egypt,
Two of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx have been built in such a way as to converge with the setting of the summer solstice sun,
Crowning the head of the Sphinx at sunset.
The ancients understood that the sun not only bears energy to fuel the natural world,
But it also directly correlates to the solar plexus chakra.
This is the energy center that fuels personal power within the body system.
The solar plexus,
Located right below the breastbone area,
Controls the ability to achieve.
It regulates self-control,
Discipline,
Confidence,
Gut feelings,
And the ability to digest both food as well as life.
When this chakra is balanced and spinning smoothly,
You'll have an unwavering knowing with no doubts.
You will feel at peace with your place here in the universe.
You have an appreciation and reverence for differences and uniqueness in all living things without the feeling of infringement on your uniqueness.
And you'll emanate a confident and genuine sincere presence to which others will be drawn.
And the summer solstice will usher in balance to the solar plexus.
Exposure to sunlight during the solstice time and throughout summer releases the hormone serotonin,
Making us feel good,
Happy,
And energized.
Sunlight exposure helps to regulate the circadian rhythm in our bodies,
Bringing about a better quality of sleep,
And sunlight provides a source of vitamin D,
Promoting better health,
And sunlight reduces the symptoms of inflammatory diseases,
Skin conditions,
And it even has preventative benefits when it comes to certain kinds of cancers.
Now is our time to embrace the prolonged powerful presence of the sun and celebrate its gifts to the world.
Our surprise mini drawing later today will serve as a reminder about this season and the gifts that come with the season.
Let's begin a summer solstice solar plexus meditation now by first settling comfortably into the surface on which you are seated or lying.
Now is the time to gently close your eyes.
Take a deep cleansing breath inward.
Hold and release.
Relax.
Relax.
Relax,
And know that there is nothing for me to do right now.
There is nothing for me to do.
There is nothing.
At this time,
Take a look into your heart chakra area and see if there is any worry,
Fear,
Or anxiety there.
If you notice any of these,
Just let them float away now like the dark clouds that they are.
With your eyes still closed,
Bring your hands up to your chest level facing each other about five inches apart.
See if you can sense a subtle energetic exchange or a buzzing between your hands.
Take the next few moments to notice the very light resistance between your hands by bringing them lightly and just bouncing them lightly as if there were a brilliant and warm yellow squishy ball between your hands.
Begin to pull your hands apart a few inches as if to stretch the ball and bring your hands back together and repeat.
This is a very powerful exercise in moving energy and being able to actually visualize your personal power and continue moving your hands around playfully,
Sensing the subtle energy there as if molding the ball of light.
Take a deep breath inward now and forcefully breathe out.
Take one more breath inward now and out forcefully.
With each releasing breath out,
Your ball of light fills and expands with loving energy or prana.
Continue to lightly bounce your ball between your hands and take one more deep breath inward.
And on your out breath,
Move the ball with both hands toward your solar plexus area right below your breastbone.
Hold it there for a few seconds and continue to breathe normally at your own pace.
At this time,
Silently and mentally affirm with me.
I release all judgments of others and myself.
I am courageous.
I am confident.
I use my power for good.
I deserve.
My self-esteem is high.
I am free.
I am limitless.
I have so much energy and I am motivated.
I am positive.
I am comfortable with not always being right.
I embody inner peace and calm at all times.
I am powerful and I am comfortable with my power.
I am ascending.
You may now lower your hands and continue breathing normally at your own pace.
