We'll start today's meditation with a breath gently into your belly,

Noticing the movement of your belly,

Ribs,

And chest,

Allowing for a gentle rhythm,

Letting your body settle into the chair.

For today's meditation,

We're going to notice any parts of us that like to figure it out.

We often have a part or parts that do so much work to help us figure things out,

And sometimes our figure it out part keeps us from hearing from other parts.

So today we're going to be generous and honor our figure it out parts while also making space to be with the rest of the system.

So even now,

As you breathe and let your body release into the chair,

You may be hearing or noticing a part of you that says,

Am I doing this right?

Can we figure this out?

Is this how this goes?

Whatever that figure it out part is saying or doing,

Let it know that it gets to be here.

That we welcome our figure it out parts that they have worked so very hard for so long and have great value in what they've provided for us.

Continuing to breathe gently into your belly and inviting that figure it out part,

Perhaps you could invite it to step beside you or even out in front of you into a big cozy chair seeing if it will step outside of you so we can get a better understanding of this beautiful part.

And as you invite your figure it out part to be closer,

To be in the room,

To sit next to you or in front of you,

You may notice more figure it out messages as we have this part be present.

Really take this part in right now.

Do you see the part?

Do you feel the part?

Do you think the part,

Hear the figure it out part?

Just sink into that for a moment as you really become aware of this figure it out part.

Notice what the part is doing.

Is it willing to give you a little bit of space even when it's here in the room with you?

Or does it feel anxious to be closer and louder?

Offering it your breath right now.

Are there other parts making themselves known as figure it out takes a seat?

Just be with the whole system right now.

Take in any parts that are present,

Taking in their essence in the room,

Becoming aware.

Are there thoughts?

Feelings?

Sensations?

And does figure it out show up in those moments also?

Notice what your figure it out part is doing or thinking right now.

Maybe become aware of how often figure it out wants to stand up and get closer.

How much figure it out wants to jump in to sort through what's happening.

And again with your breath,

We're just going to invite figure it out to gently have a seat.

With respect and care,

Inviting figure it out to sit back down in their chair.

And let figure it out know that you are here.

Perhaps figure it out needs to know who you are.

This beautiful,

Brilliant,

Calm,

Confident self-energy.

That quintessential essence of you.

See if figure it out can turn their attention Let them take you in,

Your presence,

Your essence.

Let them see and feel your sturdy,

Confident essence.

Perhaps you need to introduce yourself to figure it out.

Perhaps share your age,

Some facts about your life with this part.

Inviting figure it out to see the light that comes from within you.

Perhaps you're noticing something different in the part right now.

Just get curious about what you're observing in your figure it out part.

This beautiful part know that there is no shame in wanting to figure things out.

But that you're here now,

You're here to be with the system.

The timeless essence of you.

The timeless essence of you.

The compassionate,

Grounded,

Courageous essence of your center.

And that you too want to think and know and be curious.

And we can do that while also allowing other parts to have a voice.

Letting your figure it out part know that they never,

Ever have to leave.

That they are a part of you.

And they are important.

And the role that they have taken on that is so broad and big and thorough can actually be brought back to self.

And this part can work alongside you and be with you if it wants,

Rather than being in charge.

As other parts also bring wisdom and knowledge and insight.

Noticing how figure it out is feeling right now,

Just taking that in.

Is there anything else that figure it out would like you to know?

Thanking figure it out for being so protective for so long.

And letting it know that they can relax and rest if they'd like.

As the system is safe because you're here now.

Sinking into your breath once again.

And thanking any other parts that may have been here.

And any parts that may not have wanted to be here.

And taking one last breath for today's meditation.

With a deep thank you of gratitude towards your system.
