And for today's meditation,
We'll start by asking your body to let it be held in the perfect gentle pool of gravity that holds you to your chair,
Inviting your weight to release into the chair to simply be held,
Noticing your breath,
Becoming aware of how your body moves when you breathe.
And now invite your entire system to come be present with you now.
There may be parts that want to be with you and there may be parts that don't,
And you can allow them to be right where they need to be.
All of your parts with their thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations,
And needs,
Let them know they're welcome to be with you right here and now.
And now,
If it feels comfortable to you,
And now invite all of your parts to take one half step back from you.
Letting them know they haven't done anything wrong.
No one's in trouble.
We're not trying to dismiss them.
We're simply inviting them to take a half step back so that self can take a breath.
Giving space for self and parts to be able to see each other a bit clearer and maybe noticing if there's any parts that haven't been willing to step back and letting them know that that's okay,
That they can stay right where they are.
We'll just ask them to have a seat so that we can better care for them.
And then once again,
Noticing your parts and inviting anyone that feels comfortable to take another half step back,
Just so there's enough space for parts to see you clearly,
For parts to see and observe the beautiful,
Confident,
Clear self-energy that allows them to feel safe and protected and allows them to rest.
And now I'd like you to notice the gap between you and the parts.
Perhaps it's the tiniest of spaces.
Perhaps it's a larger space with some parts,
But bring your attention right to the gap.
And I'm going to ask you to breathe right into that gap to really allow yourself to feel the space and inviting the parts to see it too.
To see it not as a way to avoid them,
But as a way to honor them.
I'm taking a moment to notice what does your system as a whole need most right now?
Is that a feeling of compassion and peace?
Is it energy and motivation?
Is it calm and tenderness?
What does your system need right now?
And if it feels like you can,
I want you to come back into your body and see where you hold that thing.
It may be the tiniest pinprick.
It might be a large area in your body.
Just allow a moment to locate what your system needs in your own body right now.
And as you do,
You locate that space of calm,
Peace,
Joy,
Passion,
Contentment.
As you locate that in your body,
I want you to use your breath to move.
I use your breath to move that energy to the gap,
Imagining in your mind's eye that energy in your body moving into the gap between you and your parts,
Allowing it to flow and fill in in the gap,
Allowing it to flow and fill in right in the gap,
Flowing in like liquid to all the vacant spaces.
Perhaps it has a color or a texture.
And now inviting any parts that might want to take that in.
Whatever it is you've so gently offered from your own body,
From your own self-energy to fill this gap,
Invite your parts to breathe that in.
They may want to,
And there are some that may not want to.
Let them know that that's okay.
That each part gets to be exactly who they are.
And we trust they know what they need,
Giving space for them to take in what you've offered,
Reminding them that what you have offered them,
What you have provided,
You already possessed.
You didn't have to go elsewhere to provide what they need.
And now with a final breath for this meditation,
Invite all of your parts to take one long gentle breath alongside you.
Thank your parts for being here and even thank the parts that didn't want to join in today.
And thank you for joining us for today's meditation.
