Start by taking a deep breath in.
And start by exhaling fully and completely.
And then check in with your surroundings and find a comfortable space.
If you're sitting on a chair,
Make sure you have two feet flat on the ground in contact with the floor.
If you're sitting on the carpet,
Straighten up your spine and sit tall and straight and with dignity.
If it feels good for you to lie down completely,
Go ahead.
But most importantly,
Let yourself be fully supported.
And find a place where you can completely let go.
You can now start by closing down your eyes.
And as you're breathing,
Check in with your body.
Start from the top of your head and scan your body slowly and intentionally.
Slowly,
Moving down from the top of your head to your neck,
To your shoulders,
All the way down your spine,
To your pelvis,
Your seat,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Ankles and feet.
Notice how it feels to just let the stress melt away from your body.
Keep breathing.
If you'd like to use a breath count,
You can breathe in for four and out for four.
Focus on the exhale here and stretch it out for as long as you can.
Your only job now is to just breathe and let go.
Find that place inside you that is still,
That is quiet and that is certain.
And then,
Relax.
Today we're going to think about success.
And every story of success goes like this.
You work hard,
You get knocked down and then you adjust.
You get knocked down again and you adjust.
And the only way to adjust is through love.
Through love and being accountable for your choices.
Through love and being accountable for your choices and cleaning up your side of the fence,
Taking complete responsibility,
Being willing to see things differently from somebody else's perspective,
Noticing the ordinary,
Everyday miracles that exist all around you and gently,
Gently holding on to optimism.
This is the real version of success that we don't often talk about.
We always see people at the finish line in that shining moment.
But you know,
I know,
Every story of success goes like this.
You get knocked down and you adjust.
You get knocked down again and you adjust.
And the only way to adjust is through love.
Keep breathing and keep letting go.
Breathing in for four counts.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And breathing out your longest exhale,
Completely emptying the breath from your body.
Remembering who you are,
Why you're here,
What you've come to do,
And remembering that every story of success goes like this.
You will get knocked down and you will adjust.
You will get knocked down and you will adjust.
When you're ready,
You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
Bring yourself back into your body that might be taking a deep breath,
Letting it go.
You might want to stretch your hands over your head,
Do a small twist.
And now you're ready to continue your day.
