In this meditation,
We're going to spend a few minutes with your solar plexus.
This is the emotional center of your body.
A lot of us have learned without even realizing it.
To move away from what we're feeling.
To think our way through instead of being with the emotions,
To analyze and manage them instead of truly being with them.
This is an invitation to do something different,
To just be with what you're experiencing without needing to do anything to fix it.
This meditation is an invitation to return to the part of you that doesn't need to understand something in order to know it exists.
So let's start by finding a comfortable position.
Be sitting or lying down.
Whatever feels right for your body in this moment.
And just let yourself arrive here.
Feeling the surface beneath you.
And if you haven't already done so,
I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Letting yourself be here,
Now.
Take in a nice deep breath through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
And again,
A nice deep breath in through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
And one more time,
A little bit slower.
A nice deep breath in.
.
.
And a full total breath out.
Now bring your awareness to the center of your body,
To that space just above your belly button,
But below your ribs.
This is your solar plexus.
This is one of the oldest intelligence centers in your body.
It was experiencing and feeling things long before your mind ever started processing and analyzing them.
This is the seat of your personal power,
Your drive,
Your fire.
It is the place where clarity lives,
Not in your head,
But here.
So imagine a warm golden light glowing here.
Right at your solar plexus.
And breathe into that space.
Imagine that golden light expanding with each inhale.
In.
And out.
Expanding in.
.
.
And out.
You may want to bring your hands onto your solar plexus if that feels good.
Feeling the warmth of your own hands.
The steadiness of your own body meeting itself.
Continuing to breathe.
And being with that golden light.
The solar plexus knows things.
It has deep,
Deep wisdom.
Notice if there's anything that it wants to share with you today.
Whatever images or colors,
Shapes or textures come forward.
Just stay here.
Feeling the golden light expand through your chest and your belly.
There's no agenda.
No destination.
No fixing or solving.
Just the warmth.
And the light.
And your breath.
And your body.
Notice what's moving through you.
Maybe it's something subtle,
Like a quiet hum just beneath the surface.
Or maybe it's stronger and something that's been waiting to be seen or heard.
Whatever it is,
Let it be here.
Staying in the breath and in the light.
You don't need to understand it.
You don't need to move past it.
Just be with it.
And as much as is comfortable,
Allow yourself to feel it.
To breathe into it.
To let the golden light gently wrap itself around you and what you're experiencing.
Breathe in.
.
.
And out Breathe in… And out.
Your Solar Plexus has been with you through everything.
Feeling things.
Knowing things.
Even when you were somewhere else.
Even when you were up in your head.
Wrapped up in the mechanics of life.
Your solar plexus never stopped feeling.
It's been waiting patiently for you to come back to it.
So just be here with it now.
Without fixing.
Without analyzing,
Without judging.
Allow yourself to be present.
And breathe.
Being in this moment.
And the next moment.
And the one after that.
Allowing your body to show you what's here.
What's present.
Feeling it moving through you.
Using your breath to support you.
Allowing your awareness to soften even further.
Held and supported inside that golden light.
Into this part of you that feels things deeply.
This part of you that knows things deeply.
Stay here for as long as you need.
And when you're ready,
Take one final deep breath into your solar plexus.
Feeling the light settle.
Bringing your awareness back slowly by wiggling your fingers and toes.
Noticing the surface beneath you.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
Taking in the colors and textures around you.
I invite you to take a few moments to acclimate yourself to the space around you before moving on.
And if you have time,
Consider writing down what you experienced over the last several minutes while you sat in stillness with your solar plexus.
What awareness is here now that wasn't present before?
And until next time,
Be well.
