As your body settles,
Begin to notice your breath.
The cool air that comes in your nostrils and the warm air that goes out.
The cool air that comes in.
Perhaps notice as you inhale where you feel your breath flowing in your body.
As you exhale,
Perhaps feel where your body softens and releases.
Feeling the movement of your breath filling and emptying through your body.
As we take a few breaths together here,
I invite you on each exhale to maybe feel the sense of your body letting go of the breath,
Of releasing.
Invite this release,
This letting go,
To flow through your whole body.
Inhaling,
Drying the breath in and then as you exhale,
Feel that release of the breath,
Releasing the body.
Inhaling.
Exhaling,
Feel the letting go in breath and in body.
Inhale.
This last one,
Let's sigh it out.
Ah,
Releasing,
Letting go.
Return to natural breathing and feel your body without releasing,
Without letting go.
Your body perhaps feeling heavier.
Letting you feel the support that is underneath you.
Feel the bed and give yourself permission to be held here,
To let go into the support.
As your body rests,
As you feel your body breathing,
Can you feel a softness to your breath?
Can you feel an ease?
Can you feel a beautiful calm through your breath?
A few more breaths,
Softness.
As you feel your body breathing,
Consider an intention for your sleep tonight.
Perhaps I allow myself to rest deeply,
Peacefully.
Perhaps to slip into sleep with ease.
Perhaps to feel a beautiful quiet and calm through sleep.
Set an intention for your sleep time and whisper it within three times.
As your body rests,
As you feel your body breathing,
Let your awareness float to the center of your forehead.
Imagine a soft light illuminating the center of your forehead and spreading out through your forehead,
The top of your head.
Imagine this beautiful soft light like candlelight,
Moonlight filling your face,
Your cheeks,
Your ears.
Your mouth fills with this soft light.
This soft light flows through your shoulders,
Right to the tips of your fingers and thumb.
This soft light fills your chest,
Shoulder blades,
Kidneys,
Adrenals fill with this soft light.
Abdominal organs filling with this soft light.
This soft light flows to the tips of your toes.
Blows with this soft light.
Blowing from within with this soft light.
As your body rests,
It blows with this soft light.
Can you imagine your body beginning to feel very light as if it were floating,
Filled with helium and floating?
Your body light.
Can you imagine your body very heavy,
Heavy like it is sinking into the bed?
Feel a heaviness through your whole body.
Can you imagine your whole body feeling a little cool like there's a little breeze,
A few goosebumps on your skin,
A coolness?
Can you imagine your whole body feeling a beautiful warmth?
A beautiful warmth flows through your whole body.
Can you feel the edges of your body where skin envelops bones?
Bones give structure.
Can you imagine your body fluid like warm candle wax melting?
Softness of fluidity through your whole body.
As your body rests,
It blows with a soft light.
Can you see in your mind's eye a beautiful expansive night sky?
Can you see the stars,
Perhaps a shooting star?
Can you see a small cabin deep in the forest?
Smoke in the chimney,
A glow of fire through the window.
Can you see a candle burning?
Its soft glow.
Can you see a crescent moon?
Can you see the moonlight on a warm,
Still lake?
Can you see a beautiful full moon hanging in the night sky?
Can you imagine the moonlight of the moon on your body?
The moonlight softly kissing your skin,
Held in the glow of the moonlight.
As your body rests,
It blows within,
The soft light within,
And feels the glow of the moonlight on your skin.
Can you imagine that beside you as you rest here,
There is a little box?
