Dear friends,
Welcome to this meditation which is designed for those times when you just don't feel like meditating.
I'm sure you've had the feeling.
It happens to us all from time to time.
You might be in a hurry.
You might be feeling a little flustered.
Just a little out of form.
I can promise you that even a brief period of morning reflection will make a great difference to your day.
So thank you for logging in to check what this is all about.
The good news is that you only have to stay for one short minute to make a big difference.
But you will have an opportunity to sit for a little longer if you decide to do that.
So close your eyes now and see if you can bring yourself into this present moment by noticing your breath.
Simply breathing in and being aware that you're breathing in.
And the same as you breathe out.
Just being aware that you're breathing out.
So breathing in,
I'm aware that I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I'm aware that I'm breathing out.
From this center of awareness,
Give thanks for the gift of this amazing new day.
And ask yourself,
How can I approach the hours that lie ahead?
How can I make this a better day for myself and for the people that I meet today?
Let's set our intention.
May I find courage today if the going seems difficult?
I can't expect plain sailing,
So may I have patience today when things go against me?
May I have the resolution to begin again every day with a moment of reflection?
A moment that will help to set me on a path to happiness.
And that's it.
You've done it.
You've overcome your reluctance.
You've come into awareness once again.
You've set yourself on a course for a better day.
May you be happy.
May you be well.
May you bring a little joy out into the world today.
Now a little music will follow,
In case you'd like to sit with this for a little while longer.
