Welcome to this meditation designed to bring you to a place of utter calm.
Let us join together in entering into this inner space of peace and tranquility.
First of all,
Please make sure you are in a comfortable position,
A really comfortable and relaxed state as we prepare for this inner journey.
So adopt whatever position or posture,
Sitting or lying down,
Whatever you find the most comfortable.
If you wish,
You can use a blanket,
Because I want you to feel,
As they say,
As snug as a bug in a rug.
When you are ready,
Just close your eyes and relax.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do,
Just being here.
Take a few deep breaths,
And with each out-breath,
Let yourself fall into a state of deeper and deeper relaxation.
All is well,
All is peace,
All is warmth,
All is calm,
All is love.
Notice yourself falling deeper and deeper into relaxation with each peaceful breath.
Let it be,
Just let it be.
May you be happy,
May you be well,
May you be safe,
May you be at peace.
With each breath,
Notice yourself gently falling down,
Down,
Down,
Into a place of more and more calm.
Feel how good it is to be here,
Supported by this community.
May you be well,
May you be at peace,
May you experience warmth,
May you be filled with calm.
May you know and accept that you are lovable and that you are loved.
With each relaxing breath,
Notice that you are entering into a place of light and peace.
You notice that the place looks familiar.
This is your true home.
You've been here before.
This is the place of light,
Peace and love at the very centre of your being.
So stay here for a little while,
Breathing in the good air of this place and resting as if you are floating on a cloud.
Floating in this place of wellness,
This place of peace,
This place of warmth,
This place of calm,
This place of acceptance,
This place of endless love.
Let's quietly observe the scene for a little while.
Utter tranquillity,
Wellness,
Peace,
Warmth,
Calm,
Acceptance and endless love.
You hear some gentle music in the distance and you realise it's almost time to take your leave of this place.
And as you move towards the door,
Fill yourself with the blessings of this place and prepare to bring these blessings back into the outside world.
As you exit,
Promise yourself that you'll come back again very,
Very soon.
We ask that each of us be made an instrument of this peace,
Bringing love,
Peace,
Pardon,
Faith,
Hope,
Light,
Joy,
Consolation,
Understanding and life itself to all those we meet.
So when you're ready,
Open your eyes slowly.
Look around in gratitude at this wonderful world and prepare to meet the day ahead.
