Affirmations are positive,

Present tense statements that can help you change the messages you give yourself.

These enlist your conscious mind to help you partner and communicate with the part of you that is acting behind the scenes all of the time.

The part of you that is ready to create positive change and knows that you can do so.

Some people prefer affirmations to imagery or find them especially useful for when they just have a few minutes or want to remain more alert.

If you like,

You can repeat each one to yourself,

Either out loud or silently,

To help you take them in at a deeper level.

I know that I am here for a purpose.

Each day I understand myself even more.

I accept myself in the now,

Even as I work toward change.

I lovingly create positive change for myself.

I forgive myself for anything I wish I'd done differently.

Forgiving myself is freeing.

I make peace with the past as I create my present.
