Wow

What exactly is the universe?

Isn't it just.

.

.

Wow.

Astonishing.

Phenomenal.

We can pretend we're not primates blabbering on,

Hallucinating a reality,

And believe it's stars,

Planets,

Matter,

Gravity,

Space,

Exploding,

Expanding,

And so forth.

But that reveals very little.

The naked universe,

In its raw form,

Before humans clothed it,

Is weird.

Think about the fact that this is happening.

There is such thing as such thing.

This ineffable field of activity termed cosmos is too unreal for even the imagination.

Yet,

It exists.

Whatever that means.

Although I can propose philosophical ideas for potential understanding,

I think it's more insightful to sit in silence and acknowledge its enigmatic nature.

The stargazers alone are in good company.

They'll present more clarity than the concept of god,

Or any scientific theory like the big bang and inflation.

For it is enormous,

Dwarfing our trivial human world.

That's not to prompt discouragement.

Be curious but humble.

Recognize yourself as part of a happening greater than whatever matrix you've adopted.

I realized that when I observe astronomy-related photos showcased in the universe,

For they're an exclamation mark to the rhetorical question,

What are we doing?

The division.

Violence.

Gluttony.

Stampede that is modern civilization.

What are we doing?

Look at this place.

From the earthworms to the black holes raging in space.

Wow.
