Hello and welcome to this gentle guided meditation.
I invite you to take a comfortable seat on a chair or a cushion or lie down gently on your back.
Once you're settled,
I invite you to close your eyes and take a deep breath,
Inhaling to the count of 1,
2,
3,
4,
Holding the breath and exhaling to the count of 1,
2,
3,
4.
I invite you to draw your awareness between your brows to your third eye.
Feel it open.
Feel the energy there flowing easefully.
Now,
I invite you to imagine a pebble.
Picture this pebble in your mind's eye.
How does it look?
How is it surface?
Is it smooth?
Is it a little bit gritty?
What colors does it have?
Or is it speckled and patterned?
Is it large or small?
Rounded?
A little irregular shaped?
Does it have divots,
Grooves or holes?
Really take your time to fully explore and examine every facet of this pebble.
Now,
Let's go a little deeper inside the pebble.
With your mind's eye,
Picture what the inside of that pebble may look like.
Does it look like an agate with wavy,
Playful concentric circles?
Does it have crystalline pointed formations like a quartz?
Is it chalky and soft?
Is it hard and smooth?
Do you note little glints of mineral winking at you through the hard stone?
I invite you now to go even deeper again inside this pebble,
Past that halfway split into the very cell,
The very molecular structure of this pebble.
What energy do you find there?
What sensation?
That feeling or notion or emotion is vibrating and humming inside the cellular structure,
The molecular structure of this pebble.
Hold on to that energy.
Feel it.
Acknowledge it.
And with loving kindness,
Let it go.
Bringing your awareness back out to the center of the pebble,
Back out to the exterior of the pebble,
Bringing your awareness further out again to a path where you find yourself sitting with the pebble lying next to you on the soft earth.
Feel yourself on the ground.
Feel your fingertips.
Gently touch that surface of the pebble which you so clearly imagined.
I invite you to look out down the path and see your loved ones coming toward you.
See your family or your friends.
See your partner.
See your ancestors walking joyfully,
Lovingly toward you and stopping just in front of your little pebble.
I invite you to look now at each of these beloveds.
Feel their joy.
Feel their love.
Feel their pride in you.
And I invite you to reflect those feelings back to them.
Your love,
Your joy,
Your security,
Your pride.
Maybe you give them a gentle smile and maybe they smile back.
Holding that smile in your mind's eye,
I invite you to turn it inward toward yourself.
Turn that joy,
That love that you feel radiating from your beloveds inward.
Allowing yourself to feel held,
To feel supported,
Feel understood.
Allowing yourself to feel worthy.
Radiate and bask in that feeling.
And when you are ready,
I invite you to breathe deeply.
Exhaling L-O-V-E to every cell in your body.
And exhaling L-O-V-E to all that surrounds you.
L-L-O-V-E.
And exhale L-O-V-E.
If it is right for you,
You may bring your hands flat against your chest.
Gently cradling and holding the space above your heart.
As you begin to become aware again of the places where your body is connecting to your chair,
To your cushion,
Or to the ground.
Allow yourself to be supported as you begin to come back into your body.
And when you are ready,
You may flutter open your eyes.
