Welcome.

This three minute meditation will allow you to reconnect with your breath,

Finding a precious moment of stillness within your day.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,

Allowing your hands to rest light in your lap.

Feel your eyes softly closing,

Feeling your lashes fluttering gently against your cheeks.

Feel the length in your spine,

Sitting tall with grace and ease without tension or effort.

Start to notice your breath,

Allowing your mind to follow each inhale and each exhale.

It might feel good to inhale deeply and then exhale completely,

Allowing a sigh of relief that you can finally take a moment just for you.

Allow your mind's eye to explore the path of each breath,

Watching each inhale as it travels in through the nose,

Breathing fresh air down into the deep lobes of your lungs,

Down into the pit of your belly and down towards the base of your spine.

Now watch each exhale as the breath leaves the body,

Traveling up from the base of the spine via the belly and through the lungs,

Out through the mouth,

Clearing without any tension,

Stowness and old energy that you might still be holding on to.

See if you can begin to expand and lengthen out each inhale and likewise begin to extend and lengthen each exhale.

Continue breathing to that rhythm,

Inhaling new fresh energy,

Exhaling old spent energy,

Breathing in grace and ease and breathing out tension and effort.

Allow yourself a few more deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply and exhaling completely.

Notice your muscles softening and relaxing throughout your body.

Notice where in your body you are still holding on and as you exhale allow that tension to melt away.

Allow that tension to melt away.

Taking one more deep breath in,

Open your mouth and sigh out your exhale.

Feeling your connection points to the earth,

Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Bringing yourself back into your body,

Back into this moment.

When you are ready,

You can open your eyes and carry this moment of stillness into the rest of your day.
