Hello,
My name is Viola,
And I write poetry and stories here on Insight Timer.
And this poem,
The Little Girl and the Butterfly,
I have written especially for all of you.
There was a young butterfly spinning out from its cocoon,
A place so warm and cuddly where its new light wings have bloomed.
Ah,
Give these wings a try,
It thought,
Then tilted upward towards the sky,
And from the corner of its eye,
It spotted a girl named Lily humming a lullaby.
It flew in closer,
Softly landing on Lily's shoulder.
Hello,
Butterfly,
She giggled,
Please,
Please stay for a while,
Your fluttering is tickling and making me smile.
It settled in,
Knowing that this path was meant just for them.
And together,
They played games,
And the butterfly would glide down,
Brushing gently against her face,
Kissing her nose,
While opening its wings wide and then letting them close.
As the day came to an end,
Right before the sun went down,
The little girl and her tiny-winged friend made a pinky promise to meet in the future again.
