Now,
If you will,
Close your eyes and begin to listen to all the sounds that you can hear in the room.
Just know that each time you hear any of these noises,
They will not distract you or deter you from your session today.
In fact,
Each time you hear one of those sounds,
It'll help you to go deeper and deeper into that peaceful calm that you've chosen to experience today.
Good.
Now in your imagination,
In your mind's eye,
I'd like you to find in your physical body a place that we call our center core.
It's a place where you feel that you can put all of your energy into.
Now it's different for everyone,
For some it's in their chest,
For others it's in their belly.
Wherever that is for you,
Please pull all of your energy into that place now.
Now,
Once again in your imagination,
Or your mind's eye,
I'd like you to drift out of your body and go and touch the wall in front of you.
And then drift back into your body,
Back into that center core,
Deep into that center core now.
And each time we do this,
And you come back in,
You can go deeper and deeper down.
So come out of your body again,
And go and touch the wall behind you.
And come back into your body now,
Deeper into that center core,
Deep in now.
And if you will,
Come out of your body and move to the wall on your right.
And then come back into your body,
That deep center core becoming a place that feels good to be in now.
Sinking deep into that center core.
Now please drift out of your body,
And go to the wall on your left.
And then come back in,
Deeper this time than you've been before.
Deep in,
Deep down to where it's beginning to feel familiar,
And very secure,
And very safe.
Now this time,
Come out of your body and check the chair beneath you,
The floor supporting you,
And come back into your body,
Deep into that deep center core.
Good.
And now see if you can float up out of your body,
And go all the way to the ceiling.
Way up now and float around up there,
On your stomach,
Or on your back,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
Really feel the weightlessness,
And gently and slowly drift down like a bubble,
Or a butterfly,
Or a leaf floating gently,
And slowly back down into that wonderful warm,
Deep center core of your physical body.
Deep down now,
Snuggle deep into that center core,
Where you can rest.
Now gather up any little bits of energy you may have left anywhere in the room,
Anywhere else you may have been today,
Whether it was on the phone,
In your car,
In traffic,
Just bring them back into your center core,
Where they belong.
It's your energy,
It belongs to you,
And now rest,
Just for a moment.
I want you to imagine yourself now,
Standing in front of a blackboard.
You have a piece of chalk in one hand,
And an eraser in the other.
Good.
At the moment,
The blackboard is clear,
But what I would like you to do,
Is take the chalk,
And draw on the blackboard,
The number 10.
See the 1 and the 0,
The number 10.
Good.
Now when you can see the number 10,
And only when you can see the number 10,
I want you to take the eraser,
And rub it out.
Rub out the number 10,
So that the blackboard is clear once more.
And when the blackboard is clear once more,
I want you to take the piece of chalk,
And in the top right hand corner of the blackboard,
I would like you to write the word,
Sleep.
Sleep.
See the word sleep.
See the S and the L,
And the two E's and the P.
Sleep.
Notice the size of the word,
And the formation of the letters,
The position of the word sleep on the board,
And when you can see the word sleep,
And only when you can see the word sleep,
I want you to take the eraser,
And wipe it away.
Just wipe away the word sleep,
And as you erase the word sleep from your mind,
You find yourself becoming sleepier,
Much more comfortable,
And much more relaxed.
Now when the board is clear,
And only when the blackboard is clear,
I want you to take the chalk,
And draw the number 9.
The number 9 on the blackboard,
And when you can see the number 9,
And only when you can see the number 9.
I want you to take the eraser,
And rub it out.
Rub out the number 9,
So that the blackboard is clear once more.
And when the blackboard is clear,
I want you to take the piece of chalk,
And in the top right hand corner of the blackboard,
I would like you to write the word,
Sleep.
Sleep.
The word sleep.
See the S in the L,
And the two E's in the P.
Sleep.
Notice the size of the word,
And the formation of the letters.
The position of the word sleep on the board.
And when you can see the word sleep,
And only when you can see the word sleep,
I want you to take the eraser,
And wipe it away.
Just wipe away the word sleep.
And as you erase the word from your mind,
You find yourself becoming sleepier,
Much more comfortable,
And much more relaxed.
Now when the board is clear,
And only when the blackboard is clear,
I want you to take the chalk,
And draw the number 8.
The number 8.
The number 8 on the blackboard.
And only when you can see the number 8,
I want you to take the eraser,
And rub it away.
Rub it away from your mind,
And you find yourself becoming sleepier,
Much more relaxed.
And continue in this manner.
First of all,
Drawing the number 10,
Wiping it away,
And then when the board is clear,
And only when the board is clear,
Do you write on it the word sleep.
And each time you wipe away the word sleep,
You find yourself drifting deeper,
And deeper into a warm and sleepy sort of feeling.
A very relaxed and comfortable sort of feeling.
More and deeper relaxed.
So I want you to begin now with the number 10,
And as you do this,
I'm going to be talking directly to your subconscious mind.
But you don't even need to listen,
Because your subconscious mind will hear everything that it needs to hear.
Good.
Now imagine you're getting ready to go for a motorcycle ride.
It's a perfect day for riding.
You warm your bike up,
And hop on the start,
Riding down your road.
Before you know it,
You're on a long country road with nature surrounding you.
You're hugging the turns perfectly,
As you're cutting through the wind.
The country road turns into mountains,
And you can see beauty surrounding you.
You've never witnessed such a beautiful landscape as you ride your favorite companion.
You're making your way up to the very top of a mountain,
And you can see the world below,
Stretching far into the horizon.
The air is crisp and cool,
High up on the mountain.
The roads are treacherous,
And not well maintained way up here,
But you're handling your motorcycle perfectly.
You come to a place where the road ends,
And you see a giant rock wall with a beautiful door cut in the bottom.
You turn off your motorcycle,
And take a breath of fresh air,
And walk towards the door.
As you get closer,
You sense that this is a very important encounter you're about to have behind this door.
As you open it,
And go through it first it is dark,
But your eyes adjust,
And you see a table with a chair and two books sitting upon the table.
You get closer,
And you can see that the title of the book on the left reads,
The Low Road,
And the title of the book on the right reads,
The High Road.
You open the low road,
And you can see that it is about you.
As you flip through the pages,
You're reading about your life,
If you chose to continue drinking and overeating,
And not acknowledging your emotions.
As you continue reading,
You see the parts of your life where you're becoming overweight from the overeating.
You're often getting drunk,
When you know you shouldn't.
In this book called The Low Road,
You see your life playing out as if you changed nothing about it.
See how you're feeling unwell on a daily basis,
Still continuing to not acknowledge your emotions,
Suppressing them with various foods and drinks.
You see that you're having chronic pain on a daily basis,
Because you're suppressing emotions.
This book is not an enjoyable read,
So you close the cover,
And turn to the book on the right,
Called The High Road.
The book is about how from this moment forward,
You've dramatically changed your life.
You see how you started making healthy choices,
And as you read through the pages,
You see yourself crying out old stuck emotions from past hurts that you were once suppressing.
You see yourself perhaps expressing anger in a healthy way.
You're really doing the hard work every day on The High Road,
By asking what emotions you have not acknowledged,
And experiencing them,
You see that it actually feels extremely good to let these emotions out,
Like one of the best feelings ever.
As you read intently,
You see that letting these emotions out on a regular basis,
Eliminate your need for overeating,
And you only eat when you're hungry and when you need to.
You've also quit drinking completely.
You read through these pages with passion you've never known,
Because this is your life when you are doing the right things for you.
You no longer need to drink alcohol,
Because this only numbs you from experiencing the beauty of life in its fullest.
Continue reading through the pages of this wonderful book,
And seeing exactly how your future is playing out when you honor your emotions and begin making healthy choices.
Though they may be difficult at first,
You see that you come out stronger when you choose to go into challenges instead of turning away and smothering them with alcohol or food.
What else do you read on the pages of this book called The High Road?
Do you see your life exactly how it is,
But better?
Do you see that your relationships with others have improved?
Do you see how you are free from chronic pain,
Because sometimes pain is caused by suppressing emotions?
And now you no longer do that,
So you're moving about freely and effortlessly.
You're going to the gym and staying active,
Because you love to do this.
As you flip through some more pages,
You see that far into the future,
You're very old,
But you are in extreme health and have a wonderful life to look back on.
You remember the days long ago when you would suppress your emotions with alcohol or food,
And you remember the day when you made a firm choice,
Once and for all,
To make the steps towards taking control of your life and treating your emotions with dignity.
Now close the book and look at the two sitting on the table.
Please hit the book on the left,
The Low Road.
As you look at it,
Notice,
How does it make you feel?
Now look at the book on the right,
The High Road.
What do you notice?
How does it make you feel?
Pick up whichever book you choose to continue your life with and exit the way you came in,
Grateful for this sacred experience.
As you go out the door,
You see your shiny motorcycle waiting for you.
You have one more stop to take on the way home,
So get on your bike and start winding down the curvy mountain road,
Seeing the beautiful world below,
Coming closer and closer as you descend.
You have this powerful book of knowledge with you.
The road turns back to smooth pavement and you see a wooden sign that says,
Live Fully.
Take a turn at this sign and travel a little ways through the trees.
You come to find a beautiful big lake with crystal clear water.
Get off your motorcycle and walk towards the water.
You see a red canoe floating your way.
There's a little figure in the canoe.
You can't tell who it is at first,
But you can sense the unconditional love radiating from them.
As the canoe reaches the shore where you stand,
You see that it is you as a child.
They invite you to get on the paddle and into the lake with them.
So you do so,
And as you row the canoe together,
You feel a deep connection to your inner child.
They tell you that they don't want to be pushed away any longer,
And that their feelings truly do matter.
As your little self tells you these words,
Your heart is filled with love.
You begin to cry.
The most freeing tears of your life stream down your cheeks.
Your little self is so innocent and so sweet.
They deserve to be acknowledged with all the emotions that they have.
As you ride together in the canoe on the crystal clear lake,
You begin to become one with your little self,
And as you do so,
You feel the whole incompleteness like never before.
You look up at the beautiful blue sky,
Seeing a few clouds rolling by,
Bringing you so much peace and joy.
Take a nice deep breath in,
Bringing this sacred experience deep into all levels of your awareness.
Allow the lake and the canoe to slowly fade from your mind,
And begin to orient yourself towards sleep.
Feel the room around you soothing you and relaxing you.
Drifting off to sleep gently now.
Good,
And namaste.

Thanks. Really interesting, how I could completely fall into this guided meditation and relax.
