Welcome to this guided journey into a realm where the familiar blurs with the unknown.
Today we will walk down a hallway that should not be there.
One that appears in your home,
Yet seems to defy logic.
As you move through the impossible corridor,
Pay attention to how it mirrors your hidden thoughts,
Forgotten memories,
And quiet fears.
Let this exploration gently loosen your grip on the ordinary,
Inviting you to see just how vast the mind's inner labyrinth can be.
So begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Let your spine rest in a neutral posture,
Shoulders soft and arms and legs at ease.
Close your eyes if you feel called to do so,
And take a slow deep breath in through your nose.
Let the breath fill your belly,
Then gently exhale through your mouth,
Allowing tension to leave the body.
So,
Repeat this breath a few times,
Sensing any heaviness drop away,
Whilst I'm quiet for a moment.
Feel the surface that supports you,
The cushion or floor beneath you.
Notice that you are safe here,
That you can let yourself drift into a space where the mind expands and constructs new vistas.
Each breath grounds you in this moment,
Even as your awareness begins to open to something strange and boundless.
As you breathe,
Bring to mind the image of your home,
Familiar walls,
Familiar rooms.
Picture yourself standing in the quiet of a room that you know very well.
Let the details come to life in your imagination,
The lighting,
The furniture,
The subtle sounds in the background.
But something feels off,
There's a faint hum in the air,
Like distant static on an old radio.
At first,
You can't pinpoint its source,
Then as you turn your gaze,
You notice a hallway stretching from a wall where no doorway should be.
It's long,
Dimly lit,
And seems to pulse with every beat of your heart.
You may feel a slight chill or an electric buzz in the air.
A sense of curiosity stirs,
Mingled with a gentle twinge of unease.
You walk toward the hallway in your mind,
Its entrance is barely illuminated,
Revealing walls that seem both part of your home and separate from it.
So take a moment to stand at the threshold,
Observe the walls,
They might be the same color and texture as the rest of your home,
Or they might be slightly off,
As though reality is glitched in subtle ways.
So take a deep breath in,
And let yourself step into the hallway,
Acknowledging that this journey is both external and internal.
And as you exhale,
Each footstep leads you deeper,
Into a domain that echoes with your innermost thoughts.
Begin walking down the corridor,
Noticing how each footstep feels against the floor.
The hallway stretches ahead indefinitely,
Lit by a series of flickering lights.
Some hum quietly,
Others cast long wavering shadows.
The hum you heard earlier,
Now resonates through the walls,
Through your mind,
Creating a vibration that's impossible to ignore.
As you walk,
Let yourself feel any emotions or sensations that arise,
Curiosity,
Apprehension,
A tingling warmth,
Or maybe a subtle tension in your chest.
There is no right or wrong way to feel,
Simply observe.
Acknowledge that this hallway is more than just a physical space,
It's a reflection of your internal landscape.
Echoes of forgotten memories might shimmer at the edge of your vision,
Or whispers of old fears might ripple in the dim light.
Notice how each step seems to coincide with thoughts drifting through your mind.
Perhaps you recall a childhood memory,
A lingering regret,
Or a half forgotten dream.
Let them pass by like shadows on the wall,
Neither attaching them nor pushing them away.
The corridor itself seems to absorb these fleeting images,
As though feeding on your inner world.
Keep moving forward,
Noticing the slight changes.
Sometimes the hallway narrows,
Making you feel confined.
Other times it opens up,
And you catch glimpses of doors that vanish the moment you turn your head.
You cannot see the end,
But you sense something waits,
Beckoning you deeper into this labyrinth of the mind.
Soon,
You notice subtle glitches in the world around you.
A light overhead flickers,
And for a moment,
You see a crack in the wall,
A thin line that sparkles with another worldly glow.
Another step,
And the crack disappears,
Replaced by the same old dim corridor.
The hum grows louder,
Shifting in pitch as though responding to your thoughts.
Begin to sense a gentle sense of disassociation.
The air around you feels heavier,
As if gravity is gently shifting.
The walls seem to breathe,
Expanding and contracting with each breath you take.
You might catch a faint echo of your own heartbeat in the distance,
Or see the hallway suddenly dissolve and reappear in a haze of static.
If any discomfort arises,
Remind yourself that you are safe in this journey.
Your body is grounded in the physical world,
Even as your mind explores these strange vistas.
Focus on the steady rhythm of your breathing.
Allow that calming flow of air to anchor you,
To remind you that you can venture deep into the unknown,
While remaining centered and secure.
Continue walking,
Letting each glitch or flicker of light simply be.
With every step,
You move closer to the heart of this impossible space.
After a while,
The corridor widens,
Revealing a series of mirrors lining the walls.
Each mirror seems slightly warped,
Reflecting not just your physical form,
But also the emotions and thoughts you carry.
One mirror shows a past version of you,
Perhaps from a time of innocence or doubt.
Another shows you dressed in the weight of your fears,
And another might reveal an idealized self,
Glowing with confidence.
So pause for a moment,
And let your gaze drift from mirror to mirror.
Notice how each reflection seems to have a life of its own.
They might blink when you do not,
Or move in ways that don't match your own.
This can stir a sense of unease or recognition,
Depending on what surfaces from your subconscious.
You may feel compelled to step closer to one particular mirror,
And if so,
Let yourself do that now.
Look into the glass,
And see what stirs in you.
Perhaps it's a forgotten memory,
Or a spark of insight about who you are and who you've been.
Let that realization flow through you without judgment.
You are here simply to observe and explore.
With a soft breath,
Step back from the mirrors now.
The corridor beckons you onward,
And you sense that the deeper you go,
The closer you come to a pivotal meeting,
With whatever waits at the end of this surreal passage.
So continue forward,
Carrying the awareness of these reflections,
Letting them inform you,
But not overwhelm you.
Moving on,
You notice more cracks appearing in the walls,
Like tiny fractures in glass.
Through these cracks,
You catch glimpses of strange scenes,
Maybe swirling skies filled with unfamiliar constellations,
Or shifting shapes that resemble memories from a life you may have lived before,
Or a dream you once had.
For a moment,
It feels as though the entire hallway might split apart,
Scattering your sense of self into the void.
Take a steadying breath,
Remind yourself that you can observe these cracks in the fabric of reality without losing your center.
Imagine a gentle cord of light anchoring you to the core of your being.
With every inhale,
Feel that cord grow stronger,
And with every exhale,
Release any dread or confusion into the hallway walls,
Letting them absorb and transform those energies.
As you pass one particularly large crack,
You glimpse a bright light beyond.
It radiates a sense of both wonder and disquiet.
Is it calling you closer,
Or is it warning you away?
Listen for an inner response.
Notice if a part of you yearns to see what lies beyond,
Or if you feel hesitation.
So let the moment linger,
Then move on,
Trusting that everything you need to learn will be revealed in time.
So keep walking,
One measured step at a time.
The hum has become a low drone now,
Matching your heartbeat,
Connecting you to the hallway in an intimate way.
Now,
The passage begins to shift again.
The walls slowly taper,
The light grows dimmer,
And the floor beneath your feet feels even softer.
Each step seems to echo in your mind,
As though time itself is slowing down.
A sense of anticipation wells up within you.
Something is near,
Something or someone that might be an aspect of you,
Or something entirely beyond your understanding.
And as you progress,
Flashes of old memories spark in your peripheral vision.
Childhood laughter,
Moments of heartache,
Faces of friends,
Strangers,
Or even loved ones.
You realize that this hallway is drawing upon everything you've ever experienced.
Weaving it into a tapestry that shapes your reality in this very moment.
And ahead,
You see a door.
It appears out of the gloom,
Outlined by a faint glow that pulses like a heartbeat.
The door seems familiar,
Yet alien at the same time.
Like you've seen it in a dream,
Or even at the corner of your eye.
Above it,
Faint letters might glimmer,
Forming words you can't quite read.
You approach the door,
Place your hands on its surface,
Notice if it's warm or cool.
If it vibrates with energy,
Or stands motionless.
Take a moment to feel the door's presence.
It seems to be both a boundary and an invitation.
You turn the handle,
If there is one,
Or gently push.
The door opens with a soft creak,
Or a silent sweep.
Step through and find yourself in a space that defies description.
Perhaps it's a dark void,
Or a room of impossible angles.
Or a quiet chamber that mirrors your own shape.
And at the center of this space,
You see a figure.
That might or might not be you.
It stands or sits in stillness,
Almost as if expecting your arrival.
The hum of the hallway is softened to a low pulse in the background,
Like a fading echo.
Take a moment to observe this presence.
Notice its stance,
Its eyes,
Its energy.
Does it feel threatening,
Comforting,
Or simply enigmatic?
So move closer,
Step by step,
Acknowledging any fear or curiosity that arises within you.
And when you're ready,
Allow yourself to face whatever this presence is.
You might sense that it is a reflection of your own subconscious,
A guardian of lost memories,
Or something else altogether.
Stand there,
Breathe,
And let the meeting unfold.
Perhaps there is a silent exchange of emotions,
Or a sudden rush of visions.
I'll be quiet for a moment,
Whilst you explore.
In this moment,
Notice the lines between you and this presence begin to blur.
You might feel as though you're merging into one being,
Or that you're both watching each other from a great distance.
A subtle disassociation from ordinary reality sets in,
A realization that everything you once took for granted as real is just as malleable as the hallway.
Allow yourself to drift in that sensation.
There is no urgency here,
Only a gentle unveiling of deeper truths.
Breathe slowly,
Letting each inhale bring clarity.
Each exhale allows surrender.
Feel the edges of your identity soften.
The walls of rational understanding grow transparent.
This disassociation is not meant to frighten.
It is here to show you that the mind,
Like the corridor,
Is a constructed labyrinth.
Through exploring its winding passages,
You can glimpse hidden chambers and doorways that lead to profound understanding.
So stay with this feeling for a few more moments,
Absorbing whatever insights present themselves.
There may be a moment of stillness,
As though time has paused.
Let yourself embrace that timeless space,
Willist I'm quiet for a moment,
And gradually sense that it is time to return.
The figure before you,
This presence,
Might give a nod,
A silent farewell,
Or simply dissolve into the air.
The walls of the room become clearer,
Or perhaps they evaporate into darkness,
Revealing once again the doorway through which you arrived.
Step back through the door.
The hallway,
Still dim and pulsing,
Waits for you.
Though it looks the same,
You know you're different now.
Walk back down the corridor,
Each step pulling you gently towards the entrance that leads to your familiar room.
Notice if the glitches remain,
Or if the hallway feels more stable.
Sense if the hum is quieter,
Or if it resonates with a new frequency that feels more aligned with your being.
And after some distance,
You see your home's original space,
The place where you first noticed the impossible hallway.
Step out,
Noticing the threshold behind you as it fades from view.
Now,
Bring your awareness fully back to the physical space where you began this meditation.
Remember that your body is safe,
Supported by the surface beneath you.
Notice your breath moving in and out.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin,
And hear the subtle sounds around you in real time.
Take a deep,
Cleansing breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes now.
Rotate your shoulders or gently move your neck if it feels good.
Allow the energy of the experience to settle into your body,
Knowing that any insights or strange sensations you encountered can be integrated over time.
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes now.
Take a few moments to reorient yourself to your surroundings.
You might wish to stretch,
Or take a sip of water.
If you keep a journal,
Consider jotting down any impressions,
Images,
Or any lessons learned during the journey.
Good work today,
And Namaste.
