A letter I wrote to myself a few months ago, amidst this whirlwind of a time, that I wanted to share with you on your own unique journey-- wherever you may be or whatever you may be feeling. I wrote this letter from my stream of consciousness, this subtle and insightful friend that resides within all of us human beings. If we choose to listen to our own inner wisdom, we have the ability to grow immensely, become the warriors we were meant to be, and heal the world.

Good morning,

Good afternoon,

Or good evening,

And welcome back.

Again,

Thank you so much for being here with me wherever you are coming in from across the world.

It's pretty crazy that we can all meet in this one virtual place.

So wherever that may be,

I hope you are staying safe and staying well during this crazy,

Unpredictable time that we are all in as a collective,

Which is another thing that's pretty crazy to fathom.

But also at the same time,

Pretty extraordinary because we had never ever faced something to this extent in all of,

I mean,

I'm not sure of if all in human existence,

But in quite some time of human existence.

So for that reason alone,

It's quite incredible.

Of course,

There's bad and there's good to it.

And you have to respect your own journey as well as respect those around you because everyone is going through something differently and you cannot judge that journey of theirs.

Because we are all on this journey of healing together and it is only our,

You know,

We must be here for each other,

Whether that just be an ear to listen.

That's the most important thing right now.

So I actually woke up this morning.

I don't know if you can tell in my voice,

But I pretty much woke up like an hour ago and I actually wanted to share a letter that I wrote about maybe two months ago when,

You know,

Things were heightening and plummeting and all sorts of things were happening in the world,

In the universe and up,

Down,

All around.

And so I wanted to address my pre-lockdown self,

Write a letter.

Writing is a form of release for me.

It's sort of like tears.

It just comes out.

Sometimes it just channels through me and I can't help but put a pen to paper and allow the paper and pen to speak back to me.

So this is a letter that I wrote and I wanted to read in hopes that it can somehow connect with you in whatever situation or place or emotion or feeling that you are currently going through at the moment.

And yeah,

So,

Dear self,

I want you to sit your beautiful bones down,

Unwind,

Exhale into presence and listen real closely to me,

To the future you for a moment.

Although you may be doing quite a lot of that in the days and weeks to come,

But not to fear.

It doesn't have to be as bad as it may all seem.

Really it doesn't.

In fact,

I want you to know that there are extraordinary horizons to be unveiled amidst the atmosphere of uncertainty that shall soon prevail.

And I'm here now with a black ink pen in hand to prepare the space for your sacred heart to listen,

Learn,

And expand.

I want to tell you a story,

A prophetic story of transformation that will emerge from the deep crevice of stillness that is to vastly shake our earth,

Challenge the existence of structure,

And dissolve the only normalcy you've,

We've,

Ever known.

But perhaps it's just the right time.

When is ever the right time?

Must be now.

I am here to let you know that there may be a rocky journey that pans out before you.

But always remember that along this unpaved path lies a potent medicine and warm nurturing in simply being.

It may all sound strange,

Foggy,

And unnerving,

But please trust me when I say that you will be okay wherever you are.

Yes,

It may puncture your wounds and I cannot lie about that.

But as your resilient cells know,

Within any agonizing force lies a newly awakened growth.

If you tune in to those drowned out cries,

The flurry of fear will undoubtedly project on the canvas before us,

Around you and deep within,

Possibly from the places we've not yet dared to confront.

But no matter what happens and whatever you go through,

Try and allow it,

Respect it,

And let the untouched pain do what it needs to do.

My dear,

You will be okay.

In fact,

You will be more than okay.

But also,

It's always okay not to do a damn thing.

It will seem that the world as we know it is collapsing before our weary and fearful eyes and in many ways it may.

Just know that this newness of reality will serve as a launching pad into an open field of rich discovery where you can alchemize the fragility of dust into the durability of diamonds that shapes you.

This will be an unexpected opportunity for reflection,

Regrowth,

And resurgence.

As humankind soon expands into one molded unit,

Tangled beneath an unprecedented crisis in a collective effort to combat it,

We are guided into a space that puts our priorities and gift of health into a deep yet outstandingly simple perspective.

All we ever have under the small wingspan of control is our breath.

So I encourage you now to close your eyes and do just that.

Breathe.

Amidst this great pause on earth,

As we huddle into our separate abodes to protect ourselves and each other,

We will come to acknowledge the true beauty in the beasts of upheaval and the raw insightfulness beneath surrender.

It's a time for you to let go.

Within a pitch uncertainty,

You will hone the ability to see so clearly in the dark.

In this fog,

An unseen wisdom resides and a temporary pain will soon subside.

We will begin to unravel the stigma,

The doubt,

The resistance to a full-fledged pause that will soon mold the stepping stones for such bright and brilliant introspection.

Never before have we seen ourselves in the light of such real creation.

You may spend some time and days staring at the paint cracks in your wall.

That's okay.

Nobody is watching.

In fact,

Your neighbors are likely doing the same too.

You may experience a sudden channel of creative flow.

You might not.

Either way,

Allow it to go where it must go.

Allow yourself to embrace the rare value that will be unearthed from the debris of shattered routine.

What is routine anyway?

It is but a mere illusion.

For it will be a time to listen to the empowering force within and ignite your truth into fruition.

What you do with your days and your time is yours and only yours to know too.

Like a delicate caterpillar traveling through transition,

There will surely be a tremendous one that is coming for you.

Within the blurred horizon that emerges before you,

You will project a once wild thought that reveals a path begun anew.

A planet masked by smoke,

Suffocated by noise and turned on by blind eyes,

Will be granted the space to breathe into a much-needed fullness that is due.

At the end of each day,

If you could just tell yourself this,

You are safe,

Protected,

Loved.

And just like our planet,

Your remarkable self will be more than okay too.

So that is a letter that I wanted to share with you.

Whoever is listening,

Going through your own healing journey,

Your own growth,

Your own period of transition and transformation.

That is a letter that I wrote to my pre-lockdown self amidst this highly unpredictable time.

And I,

You know,

It was a form of healing for me.

Like I said,

If writing is that for you,

Or journaling,

Or writing to your future self or your past self,

It can be one of the most incredible healing modalities,

You know,

At this present moment,

Because we are spending a lot of time with ourselves.

So why not speak to the past self or the future self or even the present self,

Whether that be in a journal,

In a book,

In a mirror,

Out loud in meditation,

Whatever that may be,

You can find such tremendous healing in speaking directly to the wounded self or the healing self or the healed self.

And as we continue this healing journey,

I truly believe that we came here to,

We came to this earth,

To this planet as a collective to heal in our own individual ways.

Everyone's is different from one another,

You know,

And none is better or worse than the other.

And it's just,

It's something that we almost go through and it just makes us the warriors that we are meant to become and the words that we are meant to be.

So I hope that that letter could connect with you in some way and I encourage you to write a letter to yourself today or tomorrow or in the next week and see what comes out.

Don't judge it,

Just observe the words that come out on paper.

They might not make sense at first,

But the stream of consciousness will allow you to really tap into the parts that maybe you hadn't confronted before.

And it can really be truly fascinating to see what comes out.

So that's my advice for the day.

And I was just motivated to send this your way and to record this and I hope you all have a beautiful day and week.

And yeah,

So thank you for listening and I look forward to speaking to you very soon.

If you have any reflections and you want to send them my way and a voice message,

I believe you can do that in the podcast in the options.

So please do.

I would love to hear your reflections and thoughts.

Have a beautiful day.
