Hello friends,
It's Lauren with Yogi Beans.
Tonight,
I would like to share one of my favorite stories with you.
It's a story about a fairy named Jujubelle.
Now before we get started,
I want you to make sure you're snuggly in your bed.
Get your pillows just the way you want them and make sure that your favorite stuffed animal is close by.
Get yourself nice and cozy and I'll begin to tell you a story about a fairy named Jujubelle.
Jujubelle was the sweetest little fairy.
She lived in a majestic land called Fairyville with all the other little fairies.
Fairyville was a special place.
It was located high above the clouds at the end of a rainbow.
Jujubelle loved playing in the waterfalls with her other fairy friends and making flower crowns out of violets and daffodils.
Now,
What you might not know about fairies is that fairies are not all born with magical powers.
Fairy magic appears in every fairy at different times.
Some fairies get their magic when they are young and other fairies don't discover their magic until they are a bit older.
Neither way is right or wrong.
It's just the way it is.
Now,
The magic inside each fairy is unique and no two fairies' magic is exactly alike.
Some fairies turn the rain to sunshine and other fairies can turn snow to rain.
Some fairies hide gems in the grass while other fairies can turn a vegetable into the sweetest dessert.
There are even some fairies who like to collect teeth from children.
Jujubelle was a young fairy and she wanted nothing more than to get her magic.
She loved watching the other fairies perform magical tricks and she would spend hours wondering what her special kind of magic would be.
One day,
While watching the other fairies playing in the garden,
Jujubelle had an idea.
She knew some of the older fairies liked to take midday naps in the garden.
One of the wisest and oldest fairies named Vivy Rose was about to lay down on a rose bush to take her nap when Jujubelle approached.
Jujubelle politely asked if she could borrow Vivy Rose's wand while she took her midday nap.
She promised she would not lose the wand and that she would stay close to the garden.
She explained to Vivy Rose that she wanted to practice using a wand and perhaps it would help her magic powers appear.
Now,
Vivy Rose,
Older and wiser,
Knew that Jujubelle would not be able to perform any magic with her wand as each wand is unique to the fairy that owns it.
However,
Vivy Rose remembered what it was like to be a young fairy waiting for their magic to appear.
So she said yes and she allowed Jujubelle to play with her wand while she napped on the rose bush.
Well,
Sweet Jujubelle was so excited.
She flew around Fairyville and she tried her best to turn weeds to flowers,
To make frogs fly and to put rainbows in the sky.
Much to her dismay,
Nothing happened.
The wand did not perform any magical tricks and Jujubelle was disheartened.
She thought to herself,
Was there something wrong with her?
Was she doomed to be a fairy without any magical powers?
Would her magic ever appear?
Well,
Jujubelle,
She was so distraught,
She decided to sit underneath a weeping willow tree.
She sat and a lone tear dropped down her cheek.
Just at that moment,
A small,
Bright,
Red ladybug appeared from out of the tear.
The ladybug asked Jujubelle why she was crying.
Through sniffles,
Jujubelle told her it was because she was afraid she would never find her magic and she would never be a magical fairy.
The ladybug chuckled.
She asked Jujubelle if she would believe her,
If she told her the magic was already inside her.
All Jujubelle needs to do is let the magic shine out and believe it's already there.
Jujubelle didn't understand.
How could magic be inside of her if she wasn't able to make frogs fly or turn dirt to gold?
Many of the other fairies,
Including some of Jujubelle's friends,
Were able to perform these magical wonders and spells.
How could the magic already be inside her?
The ladybug told Jujubelle she was trying to be like the other fairies when what she really needed to do was look inside her own heart and trust that her magic was there.
Once she believed in herself,
The ladybug assured her her magic would appear.
Jujubelle wasn't sure about this.
However,
She was starting to lose hope,
So she figured it was worth a try.
She went back to the garden to return Vivi Rose's wand and she decided to take a trip to her favorite waterfall.
She sat on a rock as she listened to the sound of the water.
She closed her eyes and she envisioned herself a magical fairy flying around Fairyville with a magic wand performing all sorts of wonder.
Later that evening,
Jujubelle went to sleep.
She thought about the ladybug's words,
The magic is already inside me.
That night,
The ladybug appeared to Jujubelle in a dream.
The ladybug was planting seeds in the garden where Vivi Rose,
The older fairy,
Had slept.
As she was planting the seeds,
The ladybug sang a little song.
Your mind is a garden,
Your thoughts are the seeds,
You can plant flowers or you can plant weeds Your mind is a garden,
Your thoughts are the seeds,
You can plant flowers or you can plant weeds Your mind is a garden,
Your thoughts are the seeds,
You can plant flowers or you can plant weeds morning when Jujubelle awoke she felt different.
Instead of focusing her thoughts on what she was missing she put her attention on her dreams and her magical desires.
She pictured herself putting stars and rainbows in the sky and turning storm clouds into sparkle dust.
Jujubelle no longer compared herself to the other fairies.
She was content and happy to be Jujubelle magical or not.
And sure enough once she was happy on the inside her magic began to shine through on the outside.
