Hello,

This is Maggie.

Welcome to my brief TED talk on clairvoyance.

Picture me here holding a small crystal ball.

What comes to your mind when you think of clairvoyance?

Maybe it's like my crystal ball with visions of the future or you see an image of a mystic deep in thought.

Today we're going to explore clairvoyance,

The ability of clear seeing.

It's a fascinating and often misunderstood gift,

But at its core clairvoyance is all about perceiving beyond the physical.

It allows us to see symbols,

Images,

And visions that carry deep meaning.

Years ago as part of my awakening I discovered I had several clairs.

I had inherited them from other family members before me.

I spent some time in fascinating deep study about them.

That's why I'm bringing you this TED talk today to share with you.

You may already be clairvoyant without even realizing it.

Have you ever had a vivid image flash in your mind before something happened or dreamed of an event that later came true?

If so,

You're tapping into the power of clairvoyance.

Let's dive into the history for a moment.

Clairvoyance has been acknowledged across cultures for centuries.

In ancient Egypt,

Priests and priestesses were believed to see visions to guide the Pharaohs.

Oracles in ancient Greece like the famed Oracle of Delphi often described their insights as visual symbols or scenes provided by the gods.

In medieval times,

Clairvoyance was often linked with mysticism and prophecy.

Seers and visionaries like Nostradamus became famous for their ability to see into the future.

While their methods were perhaps sometimes controversial,

Their visions shaped how people viewed time and destiny.

Fast forward to modern times and clairvoyance has found a place in spiritual practices like mediumship and energy healing.

I use it in my tarot reading practice.

It's also widely recognized in creative fields with artists and writers often describing their inspiration as something they see in their mind's eye before bringing it to life.

So how does clairvoyance show up?

It's not always like a Hollywood movie where someone sees detailed dramatic visions.

Clairvoyance can be much more subtle.

You might see flashes of color,

Symbols or scenes in your mind.

Sometimes it's as simple as a fleeting image that provides clarity in a confusing situation.

For example,

A friend of mine described how she was preparing for a meeting when she suddenly saw an image of herself leaving the house without her presentation folder.

She quickly checked her bag and realized the folder was still on her kitchen table.

That quick mental snapshot saved her a lot of trouble.

Clairvoyance often works like this.

Very practical and unassuming but incredibly helpful.

On the other hand,

Clairvoyance can also be very profound.

You might have very vivid dreams that later come true or experience spontaneous visions during meditation.

These moments often feel like gifts offering guidance and reassurance.

If you're thinking,

Well that sounds amazing but how do I develop it?

The good news is like all of the clairs,

Clairvoyance is like a muscle.

The more you use it,

The stronger it becomes.

Here are a few tips for me for how to get started.

First,

Work on your visualization skills.

Close your eyes and imagine a simple object like,

For example,

A flower.

Focus on its color,

Texture and shape.

The clearer your mental images become,

The more you'll strengthen your clairvoyant abilities.

I'll give you an example.

If I tell people to close their eyes and picture a red apple,

You would be very surprised at the percentage of the population that would struggle with this.

This is why you need to practice and work on the muscle.

Next,

Pay attention to your dreams.

Dreams are often a gateway to clairvoyance because the mind is free to receive information without the distractions of daily life.

Keep a journal by your bed and jot down anything you remember upon waking,

Especially if you're waking up at 3 a.

M.

For example.

Over time you might notice patterns in the messages or thoughts.

Lastly,

Meditate regularly.

Meditation quiets the mind and allows subtle visions to come through.

You can even set an intention before meditating,

Asking for clarity or insight.

Trust whatever images or impressions you receive,

Even if they seem small or unrelated at first.

Here's another interesting aspect of clairvoyance.

It often speaks in the language of symbols.

So instead of showing you a direct answer,

Your mind's eye might present an image that requires interpretation.

This is why it's so useful in reading tarot cards.

For example,

Seeing a butterfly might symbolize transformation,

While an image of water could represent emotions or intuition.

Learning to interpret these symbols all around you can be a fun and enlightening process.

Tarot cards are very rich in symbolic imagery and you practice connecting these with visual messages and your other clairs when you're a reader.

Over time,

You'll develop a personal symbolic dictionary which helps you decode the messages you receive intuitively and psychically in addition to the actual cards in front of you.

Another fascinating point is how clairvoyance connects us to the collective consciousness.

Many clairvoyants report seeing visions of global events or shifts in energy.

These glimpses can feel overwhelming,

But also serve as reminders of our interconnectedness and the power of intention.

I can always predict an earthquake,

For example.

Initially,

This caused me a lot of anxiety because the earthquake might be far away,

But quite a large one,

And I would wait for a moment for the earthquake to hit where I was,

And it wouldn't hit,

But then I would see it in the news.

I also predict in my mind earthquakes before they hit the location where I am now.

Finally,

Clairvoyance can enhance your creativity.

Artists,

Writers,

And innovators often rely on their mind's eye to visualize their work before it becomes reality.

Clairvoyance is a reminder that every creation begins as a vision.

You see the painting in your mind's eye,

And then you create the painting.

Of course,

Clairvoyance isn't without its challenges.

One common struggle is self-doubt.

Because the visions are often subtle,

It's easy to dismiss them as just imagination or daydreaming.

But with practice and validation,

You'll learn to trust and discern what you see.

Another challenge is interpretation.

Visions aren't always straightforward,

And it takes time to understand their meaning.

That's where journaling your impressions and reflecting on them later can help you clarify their significance.

There's also the misconception that clairvoyance is about predicting the future.

While I can provide glimpses of what's ahead,

It's more about insight and guidance in the present moment.

As I wrap up,

I want to emphasize that clairvoyance is a gift we all have the potential to explore.

It's not really about being psychic or extraordinary.

It's about tuning into the visual language of your intuition.

People who are psychic or extraordinary have simply practiced and honed the gift that we all have.

So whether you see symbols,

Colors,

Or vivid images,

Trust that your mind's eye is a window to deeper understanding.

I'll leave you with this quote from Helen Keller.

The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.

Thank you for joining me today in this Maggie TED Talk.

May your visions guide you toward clarity and purpose.

Goodbye now.
