Hello.
This meditation is called drifting.
At dusk.
A gentle descent into rest.
This.
.
.
Meditation has a strong somatic influence.
So before we begin.
Just take a moment.
To be still And most importantly,
Be here.
Nothing is going to be asked of you.
Simply going to be sitting quietly.
Just as you are.
And now,
Very gently,
Arrange your body.
Sit where you feel.
Comfortable.
Settle in and most importantly,
Just be comfortable.
Now to begin,
We'll just.
.
.
Begin with a long,
Slow D.
Inhalation.
Keep your eyes closed.
And your mouth closed.
Of breathing in.
Through your nose.
So we're taking a long slow.
Relax.
Breathe in.
And at the top of the breath,
Just pause for a moment.
And then quietly exhale.
Long slow.
Relax.
Outgoing breath.
Then at the bottom of your breath,
Just pause again for a moment.
Before you breathe in again.
And again a long slow.
Relaxed.
Inhalation at the top of the breath again.
Just pause for a moment.
And this time as you.
.
.
Exile.
Try to make your outgoing breath a little bit longer in time.
Than your incoming breath.
Then at the bottom of the breath,
Pause again.
Before you breathe in again.
Your breathing should be relaxed.
Unhurried.
The body is well familiar with this process.
Just relax and let the body Know what it does best.
Nothing forced.
Nice and You may notice as you come into the rhythm of your breathing.
You'll begin to notice the rising of your chest cavity as you breathe in the expansion.
And then likewise,
As you Exile.
You'll notice the collapsing.
Of your rib cage,
Your lung area.
And this is really in a very positive way feeling into the rhythm.
Of the body is it.
Inhales and then exhales.
And then beneath those obvious movements,
Those obvious sensations felt within the body.
There's also behind your breathing.
Aspaces Stillness.
And quietness.
Which is already present.
Now we'll just shift our awareness slightly and I would like you to imagine that you are lying back.
Very comfortably in a small wooden boat.
And this boat is just floating calmly.
By itself.
In a calm,
And where you're lying.
Your body is fully supported.
From the top of your head down to your feet.
You probably have a sense of That's support.
That comfort.
That you are experiencing as you lay here.
Your arms are touching it.
Your legs are resting within it.
And probably some sense of it also around the outer edges of your body.
Feeling fully.
Supported.
As you lay here.
Quietly breathing.
And beneath.
Where you're lying.
And beneath the boat itself,
The calm.
Waters of the bay.
Quietly and peacefully flowing.
There is a slow,
Natural saints of drifting.
Very gentle.
Almost.
Too subtle to notice.
Subtle movements.
Subtle swaying movements.
Return the body to a lovely,
Quiet rhythm.
As the body responds.
To the movements of the water.
And regardless of these outer movements,
Something within you.
Something within the body.
Remains completely still.
Understood by any out of senses or experiences.
Understood by any movements.
And as you lie here quietly breathing,
The body naturally.
Begins to deeper.
Feel deeper in its comfort.
Where you're lying.
In its own way,
The body is.
.
.
Coming to its own senses.
Peace.
And stillness where it's lying.
Perhaps there's some natural releasing without any effort on your behalf.
All flowing peacefully as you breathe.
All quietly.
Effortlessly unfolding.
In its own time.
In its own way.
This sense of relaxation.
Is filled through.
Various areas of the body.
You might notice relaxing in the neck the muscles in the neck.
The shoulders.
Just a sense of movement.
A light rotation of your shoulders as you settle even more deeply.
Into where you're lying.
Likewise,
Any muscles in your face,
Around your jaw.
Your chin.
Just a gentle easing.
A deepening.
Relaxing experience.
And this is filled throughout the entire body.
Not because you're making anything happen,
Just because there is.
.
.
Nothing holding.
Nothing being held here.
All is open.
And spacious.
There is a light breeze,
A cool.
.
.
Light breeze.
Blowing in the bay.
Moving the boat ever slightly.
And you can feel this cool breeze.
As it touches the skin.
On your face.
And on your hand.
In the distance the soft.
Faint seons of small waves.
Lapping at the shore.
Being carried by the breeze to break on the shore.
And the dim lights of the city.
Are beginning to brighten.
A little now.
Into the evening sky.
Where you lie.
Everything feels unhurried.
Calm.
Light.
Spacious Evenless.
That's the.
.
.
The body rests,
The eyes are gazing into the heavens above.
And the body being fully relaxed.
Comes back to its own memory.
Of what it's like to be.
Fully at ease.
Deeply rested.
And in this stillness is.
.
.
The greater awareness of your breath itself.
How the breath just arrives on its own without you having to do anything.
It arrives and it leaves.
And all is relaxed and still.
Almost to a yore.
Feeling the body breathing itself.
And through the light movements of the boat on the water.
The boat continues to quietly drift.
Carried effortlessly.
Without any direction.
Without needing to go anywhere.
Or to be anywhere.
In this freedom.
The breeze.
Is dictating where you go.
And the mind recognizing this.
That it has no control.
Begins to Soften even further.
In this floating stillness.
These soft movements.
Thoughts may come.
Thoughts may pass.
Like small ripples.
Driven by the breeze.
Lapping up again softly against the side of the boat.
And just as quietly as they arrive.
They fade.
And slip away into the night sky.
Nothing holds your attention here.
Everything is free to be.
As it is.
Relax.
Peaceful.
Comfortable.
Light.
Just drifting.
Just breathing.
All just as it is.
A nice evening.
Becomes closer and closer.
The lights in the city become brighter and brighter.
Is the natural.
Light of the sun fades.
And they are above you.
Countless stars.
The body is still.
Deeply relaxed.
Resting here quietly.
Supported.
There is absolutely nothing you need to do.
For the body to feel this stillness.
All is complete and perfect.
All is quietly unfolding in the breeze.
All he's felt.
Through the breath.
Within the body.
And in the gentle rhythms.
Of the water around you.
And whether you remain with these words.
Or gently drift beyond them into sleep.
There is nothing more to follow here.
All is done.
This quiet,
Drifting experience.
This soft unfolding.
Under the light of the stars.
And as these words.
Begin to fade.
As the body rests even further.
Breathing on its own.
Drifting.
Softly.
Into deeper.
